My college takes admission on the basis of JEE Mains. So I am satisfied with the admission process. Just a student has to score well in JEE mains to get admitted here. You will get refreshments while your admission and also unlimited refreshment from stalls of different banks. The only problem is with your parents as our college does not provide a guest house for parents so they have to manage it on their own if they have to stay.

I took JEE mains and secured sufficient marks to get admission into prestigious institutions in INDIA. I found NIT Jamshedpur through a YouTube video and got attracted to it, filled in my counseling choices in josaa and csab, and got selected here at NIT Jamshedpur. You can find the application form and details about fees and dates at the official site of NTA, the national testing agency. The admission process is, in my opinion, working perfectly but there are many parameters that can be changed like the verification part and the prediction of first-round choices, accuracy is lacking there.

For application form you can find it in NTA's official website, the application fee will be 1000 this year and the application dates will be in April this year. There are reservations for SC, ST, OBC, PWD, and GENERAL -EWS students in this examination, for general ews reservation is 10 percent, and for obc it is twenty-seven percent. Yes, I want to see many improvements in this examination process as during our there are many cases of unfair means and cheating issues also online lagging of questions was a big concern during our time so I was very annoyed with these types of concerns and I definitely want to see improvement in these examination processes. This unfairness means many undesirable candidates got admission into good renowned colleges which is not acceptable.

What are the best things to do at NIT Jamshedpur?

● Top Answer By Gargi Gupta on 10 May 21

Ans
A couple of my friends completed their B.tech from NIT Jamshedpur. They had a pretty good experience at the institute. Here are some key highlights you must know about. The college is situated in Jamshedpur which is one of the most dynamic, and enthusiastic cities. My friends keep on claiming that this city is a mixture of the craziness of Kolkata as well as the lights and glamours of Bombay. You can grab a chance to work in any TATA group company there as NIT Jamshedpur has a tie-up with the company. The best part is you can join irrespective of your branch. The campus is lush green and huge so you can stroll around peacefully in the early morning or evening - especially towards the River Kharkai. Outside the campus, you can head to nearby Bistupur Market or Dimna Dam for a day out. You can engage in various extracurricular activities, technical festivals, and sports. NIT Jamshedpur has to offer you great college life. Take advantage of the opportunity and explore the campus and the city as much as you can.

Ques
What is the placement status at NIT Jamshedpur?

● Top Answer By Jitendra Rane on 10 May 21

Ans
The placement reports of NIT Jamshedpur are overall good. But, the placement percentage and the average packages you will receive depends on the branch. Both small-scale industries and large-scale industries visit the placement drive. TATA Steel is one of such large-scale recruiters at the campus.  The departments that are apparently doing well in terms of placements are CSE, EEE, Metallurgy, and Manufacturing. These are a few branches that you can consider. There are several students who obtained chances to be placed in their core sector. The National Metallurgical Limited (NML) is centered around the same place, which makes it an added advantage to the students of the metallurgical branch.  Here is a brief highlight of the 2020 placements at NIT Jamshedpur. Average CTC 12 LPA Highest CTC 30 LPA Top Recruiters  TATA Powers, Deloitte, Amazon You can visit the official website for more placement-related details. NIT J Facebook page is also helpful for getting placement-related information.

Ques
What is your review about NIT Jamshedpur?

● Top Answer By Arjita Pathak on 10 May 21

Ans
My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.  Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.  Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.  Academics The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.  Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well. The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.  Placement Reports: A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.  CSE: Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva EEE: Tata Steel, JSW Steel, L&T, BPCL ME: Tata Motors, L&T, Tata Steel, BPCL MME: JSW Steel, Vedanta, Tata Metaliks, Tata Steel CE: Simplex, L&T PIE: Tata Hitachi, JK Tyre, JK Paper, Tata Motors FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA Extracurricular Activities:  The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team. This is the in-depth scenario of the institute.

Ques
How good is CSE at NIT Jamshedpur?

● Top Answer By Mayank Patel on 10 May 21

Ans
I have a friend at NIT Jamshedpur, so I can give you a brief idea about the CSE department.  The placement of the CSE department in NIT Jamshedpur somehow reached some new highs over the last few years. Students from the CSE department have a placement average of around 95%.  Here’s a little highlight of the 2020 placement drive at the institute. Average CTC 12 LPA Highest CTC 30 LPA Top Recruiters  TATA Powers, Deloitte, Amazon Although if you are aspiring for an MS or MBA, then NIT Jamshedpur is probably not the best choice for you. You will get ample time during vacations to prepare but the environment of the institute is not ideal for the preparation of these examinations.  There are several groups of students, from the past few years, who have not qualified for examinations like these from the CSE department.
