- In our college I like the coding culture and the way seniors are helping to the juniors
- Hostel provided by college are very good compare to other colleges. You get single room for u from the 2nd year this one was quite peaceful for u
- Good professors. I don't tell all are good professors but some are excellent they work hard for us
Dislikes
- Campus life and campus environment. Our college is about 350 acres but they use only about 50 to 60 acres
- There is a lot of corruption is happening in our college
- It a open campus. Due to this somany outsider are coming to campus
Remarks :
NIT Jamshedpur was likely chosen for its strong academic reputation, good faculty, solid placement record, and diverse peer group. It offers a well-rounded campus experience in a focused environment. Compared to IITs, NIT Jamshedpur might have slightly less competitive placements and facilities, but it still provides excellent opportunities. Other state or private colleges might have more modern infrastructure but lack the historical prestige and network of an NIT. The admission process through JEE Main and JoSAA counseling is rigorous, and missing out on other top colleges might be due to the high competition and minor score differences.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I rate 6 out of 10 to my course curriculum. Because it is as worse as possible.If ur a ece student then u don't need to study about ed or mechanics but u have to study and burden with the subjects. Teaching level is good. Some taechers might take suprise test some are not

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are two semesters in a year in our college. Autumn semester and spring semester. In my first year spring semester we have to pay 63500 college fee and 42500 hostel fee but due to fee waviers by Annual income lower than 1 lakh I have to pay only hostel fee 42500. For some students the income between 1 lakh to 8 lakh has 2/3 rd fee wavier option is available. Fee structure is same in 1st year Autumn sem also In my second year the hostel fee are slightly increased and we have to pay 49500. That is up to 7000 increment
Campus Life :
Campus life at NIT Jamshedpur is vibrant, with a strong sense of community, diverse social events, and active club involvement. Clubs offer opportunities for skill development and leadership. The infrastructure, including modern labs, decent hostels, and sports facilities, supports both academic and personal growth, making for a well-rounded experience.
Hostel Facilities :
NIT Jamshedpur’s hostel rooms are shared and come with basic furniture. The mess offers decent meals with a varied menu. The registration process is simple, and hostel fees are affordable. If renting, popular areas include Adityapur, with reasonably priced rooms that may offer additional amenities like Wi-Fi and attached bathrooms.
Faculty :
All faculty are not good. U observe that half of faculty are excellent but other look like as worse as possible they don't teach any thing and also don't give good grades also in exams. In a semester there are two exams that is mid and sem exam. Total 100 marks are divided like 30 marks in mid , 50 marks in sem and 20 marks are in professors hand

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

The placement of this college is the great part. The highest package has been provided by Atlassian which is 8300000 per annum. The 4th year students are eligible for placement. Renounced companies like Microsoft, BlackRock, Atlassian, Qualcomm, Intel, etc came for placement offers. The percentage of placed students in our branch is around 96.

Placement is quite good as cimpars to another college. Around 75%+ students get placed. The highest package is around 50-60lpa (every year)and avg is 13lpa. Around 150+ companies visited the campus. Number of the offers is good.
