The course curriculum is very good and advanced compared to other colleges since it is a deemed university. Exams are also at a little high standard compared to others. Faculty: student ratio is good and the faculty will provide a good time for students to clarify their doubts. Faculty will support research activities, project works and conferences. Many faculty are PhD holders with qualifications and careers in reputed firms. The teaching method is good and it is based on experiential learning. Laboratories are well equipped with advanced features. Exams are based on relative grading and is the CGPA method. Exams are conducted in sessionals, and assignments every month. Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm in Electronics and communication stream. I have chosen this because these days companies are preferring students who know both software and hardware knowledge. As open and program electives I'll choose software part and hardware I'll learn through the curriculum. Faculty to student ratio is 1:11 in our department in our year it's 1:4. Almost all faculty are having Ph.D. Exams will be once a month. Starting the month of semester exams won't be there. For passing in mit you should work hard because papers won't be that easy

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is my first year here so I don't have any Idea about the Faculties of my branch because the first year is the same for everyone. From the second year onwards we are divided into sections based on our chosen branches. But if I talk about the first-year faculties they all are very good and helpful as well but anybody will only help you if you ask them to help so you have to stand up and ask whatever you are facing difficulty in. We have the exam divided into three portions i.e. Insem-1, Insem-2, and finally, End sem. They take exams within one month of the course so you will be getting less time if you are not studying daily. In-sem is of 15 marks each then we have quiz assignments and all in Total they weigh about 50 marks. And the end sem is also 50 marks in which you have to score at least 18/50 no matter even if you have scored 50/50 in previous items. Then you have to sit for Makeup exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose BTech CSE AIML because of several reasons. 1. The field of AIML is rapidly growing and there is high demand for skilled professionals in the coming years. 2. AIMl is used in computing and space-based fields. It can be used in any sector and consistently produces outstanding results. 3. Through the use of AIML, we can predict the future to a certain extent.

Ques
What is the current ragging scenario at Manipal University?

● Top Answer By Vidit Sharma on 13 Jul 21

Ans
There is no need to worry about ragging at Manipal University as it follows a strict 0% ragging policy on the campus. The points below state some of the incidents faced by candidates in the university that would clear the picture of ragging in the institute. Wardens are very strict in some blocks in the hostels. The rules are so strict that students from other blocks feel terrified to enter. There are incidents of fun in the hostels of Manipal University, in the names of ragging. One night around 11:30 PM, a group of senior students entered the rooms of juniors and locked the doors. Some of them created a panic situation among the students and left the rooms. Just at 12:00 AM, they entered the room again with friendship bands and wished Happy Friendship Day to juniors. The seniors are very interactive and helpful. During technical club fests, meets, etc, senior and juniors get to interact a lot among them. Most seniors are very friendly and help their juniors at times. As evident from the above points, the situation of ragging in Manipal University is actually fun and interactive. Although not 0%, but most of the incidents of ragging are based on creating a good relationship between juniors and seniors in the university.

Ques
How is Manipal University in terms of education?

● Top Answer By Indranil Dasgupta on 01 Jun 21

Ans
I have a few friends pursuing courses at MIT Manipal. One of my friends is in Mechanical Engineering and he is happy to be there.  Campus infrastructure is very good and well-maintained compared to any NITs and IITs.  Students enrolled and Peer groups might not be as good as compared to IITs and NITs but still, you can meet people of different places with unique talents. You can achieve Good social exposure that can help to develop your personality.  The faculties are average, you need to depend on yourself for academics, which is true for most colleges.  The scope of Research might not be as good but the students of Manipal University made a student satellite which can be considered a big achievement. On average, over 250+ recruiting teams visit MIT Manipal for UG & PG campus placements & internship recruitment every year. The recent placement statistics for the institute are as follows.  Average CTC 7.50 LPA Highest CTC 43.31 LPA Major recruiters  Flipkart, CISCO, Samsung, SAP Labs, Oracle, Deloitte, Toshiba Hope this gives you some ideas about the institute.

Ques
Why are Manipal University and Jio University given a special status?

● Top Answer By Anubhav Sharma on 14 May 21

Ans
I am going to talk about what makes Manipal University special. As I know a thing or two about the institute through my friends who are studying there.  It is among the best medical colleges in the country. The faculties are great and there is scope for research. These are the reasons why it has been given special status.  Among all the private institutions in the same field, Manipal is ranked at 5th which shows the promise of more development.  MIT became autonomous back in 2000 and within only 20 years it has become one of the top 50 engineering colleges in the country, out of 10000. The placement statistics of MIT are also improving with the passing years. It was ranked top among all the private institutes of India by QS World rankings. The infrastructure facilities provided at the campus are great.  Although MIT has a higher course fee with the brand name it’s easier to find private funding.  So, there are some of the things that may have been the reason why MIT got special status.

Ques
Which is better, Manipal Institute of Technology or NIT Trichy?

● Top Answer By Abhinav K. Roy on 30 Aug 21

Ans
NIT Trichy can be considered at par with BITS Pilani, IIT BHU, and IIT ISM Dhanbad. Manipal Institute of Technology, on the other hand, can hardly be compared with several low-tier NITs, NIT Mizoram and NIT Nagaland are to name a few among the handful.  The infrastructure of NIT Trichy is comparably not as well established as what is in Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT). However, MIT is still a growing institute. It is one of the best private institutes, only following BITS Pilani but still requires a valid amount of time until it gains a similar reputation as other top institutes. Manipal offers better infrastructure and facilities but NIT Trichy is definitely better than Manipal Institute of Technology in all other aspects.

Ques
I have to choose between CSE (preferred branch) at MIT Manipal and chemical engineering at NIT Surathkal or BITS Pilani - Goa campus (preferred colleges). What should I choose?

● Top Answer By Supriya Sarkar on 29 May 21

Ans
The best option for you is to take up an M.Sc. degree at the BITS Pilani Goa campus. The M.Sc. degrees that are offered are Maths, Physics, Economics, Biology, and Chemistry. Category CSE at MIT Manipal Chemical at NIT Surathkal Chemical at BITS Pilani Total Fee 17.06 lakhs 5.45 lakh 19.19 lakhs Companies Visited Deloitte, Adani, etc. L&T, ZS, etc. Deloitte, TCS, Dell, etc. Highest Package 43.31 LPA 37 LPA 45-54 LPA Average Package 7.5 LPA 8 LPA 12 LPA If you are confused about the stream, let me give you a clear idea. In the first year, the students get to know all subjects.  They get an opportunity to interact with their seniors from other streams.  Eventually, they can opt for the B.E. degree after the first year ends.  The most difficult to get is Computer Science as the student is required to maintain a CGPA of 8+ in their first year.  Pros of choosing BITS: Of the three options, BITS Pilani is considered to be the most reputed. Foreign Universities recognize BITS, IITs and some NITs. This will gives you a slightly better chance of getting an MS to admit. The network of BITS alumni is very strong. You can easily get referrals from the top firms for jobs as well as internships. Cons  If you want to opt for Chemical Engineering as your B.E. degree, a CGPA of 5 will be enough but if you want to opt for subjects like Computer Science, you will have to acquire an 8+ CGPA. Therefore, going for BITS Pilani is concluded as the best choice. One should not decide in haste.

Ques
Which college has a better crowd, NMIMS MPSTME Mumbai campus, MIT( Manipal Institute of Technology), or Maharashtra Institute of Technology?

● Top Answer By Anumita Sen on 24 May 21

Ans
I know about the campus life at MIT as my sister goes there. The following points are based on her experience at the campus: MIT has a good student crowd. Most students are well-spoken and have good dressing skills.  The students speak English well as they are of different states and English is the only medium for them to communicate with each other.  Everyone on the campus is fun-loving and there is a good environment on the campus. The campus is not at all boring.  You will have clubs, movies, sports, restaurants, parties, etc. to enjoy your college life there.  You will definitely have an exciting college life on the campus of MIT in both academic and non-academic terms.

Ques
Should I prefer IIIT Guwahati and IIIT Bhubaneswar above MIT, Manipal for the ECE branch?

● Top Answer By Nimrit Sharma on 22 Mar 23

Ans
If you are looking for an ECE branch, you may want to consider IIIT Guwahati over IIIT Bhubaneswar and MIT Manipal. IIIT Guwahati is an Institute of National Importance and is centrally funded, while IIIT Bhubaneswar is a state-funded institute and MIT Manipal is a private institute. IIIT Guwahati has been making significant improvements in terms of infrastructure and placements every year. In contrast, IIIT Bhubaneswar seems to have reached a saturation point with no significant increase in placement or campus facilities. Moreover, the faculty at IIIT Guwahati encourages research at the undergraduate level. Many seniors have already started researching on AI, ML, cybersecurity, and communication as early as the 3rd semester. This could be an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in research. Additionally, all the laboratories at IIIT Guwahati are open to access for students who wish to work on personal projects, subject to administration permission, which is easy to obtain. This could be helpful for students who want to gain practical experience beyond the coursework. In conclusion, if you are interested in pursuing ECE, IIIT Guwahati could be an excellent choice due to its status as an Institute of National Importance, centrally funded status, improving infrastructure and placement record, faculty support for research at the undergraduate level, and open laboratory access.

Ques
I am getting admission in HBTI, IET Lucknow, and MIT Manipal. Which one should I choose?

● Top Answer By Divya Pandey on 06 Aug 21

Ans
All three are well-reputed colleges, but if you compare it with Manipal there would be a huge difference between HBTI and IET Lucknow. Having a few friends from the mentioned institutes here are some tips for you. Both HBTI and IET Lucknow have a decent faculty like MIT Manipal and even the fee is very less.  The diversity in MIT Manipal differentiates it from the rest of the colleges in India.  MIT Manipal and HBTI Kanpur have been ranked #45 and #166 by the NIRF respectively. Statistics – Particulars IET Lucknow HBTI Kanpur MIT Manipal Total fees 3.14 - 4.04 Lakhs 5.17 Lakhs 9.85 - 17.9 Lakhs Placement percent 65% 80% 85% Highest salary INR 30 LPA INR 60 LPA INR 28 LPA Average salary INR 6 LPA INR 6.5 LPA INR 7 LPA Lowest salary INR 3 LPA INR 6 LPA INR 3.5 LPA If it is very comfortable for you to afford a high amount of fees without any financial problem, then just go for Manipal, or else HBTI and IET are equally good but just that experience.

Which is better, SRM, Manipal, DTU, or NSIT?

● Top Answer By Kritika Guha on 23 Aug 22

Ans
DTU and NSIT are the best options among these, with great placement records and academics. These are counted among the top-tier technological institutes in the country. The type of exposure you will get at these institutes will not only help in performing well in academics but also help develop confidence. DTU placements 2022 shows the average CTC to be around INR 15.31 LPA. According to NSIT placement highlights of recent years, the median CTC offered is around INR 13 LPA.  SRM, and Manipal don’t belong to the same tier as DTU and NSIT.

Ques
Which college is better: the RV College of Engineering or the MIT Manipal for civil engineering?

● Top Answer By Naveen Singhal on 29 Apr 21

Ans
I have friends from both RV College of Engineering and MIT Manipal, civil engineering holds the same value from either of them. It is because they both follow the same curriculum and guidelines laid by UGC and AICTE. However, both of them hold an edge over each other in their own way. Here’s why: MIT Manipal holds a bigger brand value as civil engineering was one of the branches it started and is known for. Other such branches include chemical and mechanical. If you are looking for better placements, RV College might be the right choice as it is located in Bangalore which clearly means more opportunities. Even if you are getting a computer science branch in MIT Manipal, go for it without a second thought. The table below shows a brief insight of both institutes: Particulars RV College of Engineering  MIT Manipal Highest Package 13 LPA 43.31 LPA Average Package 5.25 LPA 7.50 LPA Course Fees 14 Lakhs 16.26 Lakhs At the end of the day, your pool of interest matters the most. If you are getting your preferred branch, set the preferences that are more important to you. Are you looking for a great placement or great brand value? The choice is up to you.
