Should I prefer IIIT Guwahati and IIIT Bhubaneswar above MIT, Manipal for the ECE branch?

IIIT Guwahati is an Institute of National Importance and is centrally funded, while IIIT Bhubaneswar is a state-funded institute and MIT Manipal is a private institute.
IIIT Guwahati has been making significant improvements in terms of infrastructure and placements every year. In contrast, IIIT Bhubaneswar seems to have reached a saturation point with no significant increase in placement or campus facilities.
Moreover, the faculty at IIIT Guwahati encourages research at the undergraduate level. Many seniors have already started researching on AI, ML, cybersecurity, and communication as early as the 3rd semester. This could be an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in research.

- The research output at IIIT Bhubaneshwar is not great but not marginal.
- Almost all the students of CSE MTech and most of the EE MTech students have at least one EEE conference in their name.
- One of my friends is studying here and he has presented one published conference paper and one journal. And also have another two ready conference papers that will be presented soon.
There is no denying that IIIT Bhubaneswar does not have any issues. IIIT Bhubaneswar is a good choice if you want to pursue BTech in CSE, CE or IT.
