There are also fests held every year and the environment during the fest is very pleasing events are going on in every ground and garden everyone takes part in different activities it all feels worth it once you experience it yourself. The library is not well maintained here during the exams there is always a scarcity of books so you will have to face this difficulty during the exams, there are many libraries nearby the college from where you can issue books. The classrooms are well facilitated for the students there are smartboards, projectors and blackboards, there are also AC classrooms but they are for senior years. A and B are specious. D and F are a little congested in comparison. The institute provides all the basic facilities.

My brother completed his B. Tech in Biotechnology from NIT Raipur in May 2016. The reason for choosing it was because of the brand value. But after being in the college and started taking interest in the studies and various activities, it went on to be a great 4-year long journey.
It is a trustworthy institute for CSE. You will have to work yourself to achieve something big.

There are quite a few pros and cons of NIT Raipur. As you have asked about the cons, let me provide you with a few of the drawbacks that come with staying at NIT Raipur.
A few students are also known to complain about the allotment of hostel facilities. Only 30% of students are allotted the hostel on the basis of merit. This could be another major drawback.
Assuming you don’t have any preferences currently in joining any of the clubs at the college, let me help you out by being as lucid as possible. If you are primarily looking for fields like singing, dancing, or literature, clubs like Raaga, Nrityam, and Literati will be your default choices. Also, always keep in mind that the club management certificates you get in your senior years will always be useful in the future.
Now, here are some parameters you can consider before planning on joining any of the clubs at NIT Raipur:
In my opinion, some of the best clubs are NCC, NSS, PMRC, and Raaga. I-Cell, E-Cell, and Nrityam are not that great.
Sudhir Vasudeva, the former chairman & managing director at ONGC is one of the notable alumni from NIT Raipur. He pursued his B.E. in Chemical engineering at NIT Raipur from 1971 to 1975 and was also a gold medalist.
He is quite the achiever and definitely one of the shining stars of NIT Raipur.
Yash Srivastava and his brother, Harsh Srivastava from NIT Raipur were definitely able to bag the tremendous offer of 75 LPA because they had been working hard. If you heard of Codechef, there’s a possibility that you may have heard about them.
They were in the top 2 positions for coding in the institute during their time, at the institute. Other students used to fight for the 3rd spot. That’s because they were the best in coding. They have worked hard to learn algorithms with the help of the internet.
I have a friend who was in the same batch with them. According to him, they used to solve coding problems every day.
I don’t know much about their interview but they loved to do coding.
