1st year is common for all branches, so you rarely get the opportunity to get exposed to professors of your respective departments. The faculty is Okayish, some are great and some are not even close to them. Ultimately, it's upon you. Students have to understand and also study themselves.
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is diverse and includes all current and old subjects. Teacher student ratio is good but doesn't expect much from them. Some are really dedicated to teaching. Almost everyone holds a Ph.D. Exams are not hard even if you do not study the whole semester.
Read Full ReviewI chose this course because I love making circuits and I love the process of fabrication and designing chips. Faculty to student ratio is 1:120. Faculties are qualified enough to teach their subject but don't expect high fight knowledge from them their knowledge is limited to their course. Their teaching methods are very old. They still practice ppt methods to teach which becomes boring sometimes but not all teachers do this some teachers teach with passion. Exams are conducted twice a semester. During mid sem and end sem.
Read Full ReviewThe faculty of the civil branch is quite good. The professors are very knowledgeable and well-experienced. Teaching methods are different for different teachers like presentations and some from textbooks. The exams are semester based including one mid-sem and end-sem exam per semester.
Read Full ReviewI am an Electrical Engineering background and I am interested in the power system branch for my further education. The faculty-student ratio is about 10:1. Professors are well qualified and experienced and their teaching method is good by smart study and practicals are enough for understanding. Tests are conducted every two months and semester exams are in 6 months. Exams are not too tough if studied sufficiently and attended classes regularly.
Read Full ReviewI choose electrical because I had no interest in the IT sector. Faculty to student ratio is 30:70 Faculty of the college is very helpful and supportive. Teachers are highly qualified professors from IITs Ph.D. holders are teaching here. Every branch's teachers are supportive except the branch of electrical. The electrical Faculty is very strict, they set very hard paper exams that are conducted 2 times in a semester mid sem and end sem.
Read Full ReviewMy branch is electrical engineering here. As known by all, being the toughest of all branches here also its is the toughest branch. Subjects are interesting but difficult. The faculty is experienced and a bit strict too. There are mid sems and end sems every semester.
Read Full ReviewSo I chose the electrical branch because I had an interest in electrical parts and moreover you get the wide scope in government job as well. Faculty: student ratio is 30:70.although the faculty of the rest of the branches is quite lenient and good. Give marks and don't do hard checking. But the electrical branch in Nit hamirpur is considered one of the toughest branches. Because the faculty is so strict here. Faculty is highly qualified professors are qualified from IITs NITs are PHD holders. But their teaching method is not so good it's like 6/10 Term exams are conducted twice in a semester mid semester and end-semester. Mid-semester exams were easy to pass but end-semester exams were way too hard. Especially in the electrical department.
Read Full ReviewI choose this exam because I have many options in this field. The faculty-student ratio is very good. And the faculty are very qualified in this course. We have 2 exams each semester and quite easy to pass them. Placement is low.
