Read Full ReviewHostel accommodation is good in considering the safety of the students. Also, hostels have indoor game courts for table tennis, badminton, etc. Hostel rooms are also in good condition and you get enough space to live comfortably. However, the rooms are 3 or 4 beds which can be a problem for some people. The quality of food is okay, it's not very good for you if you are not a local resident. Hostel registration is quite easy and is done along with the admission process. The hostel fee is 40000 per semester which includes all charges and mess charges also.
Campus life is pretty good with two annual fest held each semester. One is Hillffair which is conducted in odd semesters where students are free to show up their creativity and extracurricular activities. Another fest is technical where students form clubs where they make futuristic projects and also get funded if their project shows the potential future or the scope to the judges. Many more events are conducted throughout the year by various societies and clubs. One of the major technical events is electrothon which is a hackathon where students from various colleges throughout the country take part.

Read Full ReviewKeeping in mind the academic environment and placement statistics, the following should be the preferences:
CSE at NIT Hamirpur, IIIT Jabalpur, NIT Jalandhar, and IIIT Kancheepuram.
ECE at NIT Hamirpur, ECE at NIT Jalandhar, IIIT Kancheepuram, and then IIIT Jabalpur.
Choose a college with a broadband internet connection in the hostels for CSE. In general, the faculty at all of these colleges will be mediocre, and you will be forced to rely on the internet for your education. Once the CSE and hostel broadband requirements have been met, consider which college is closer to home, near a city, and not in a country where you do not speak the native language.
NIT Silchar is one of the top engineering colleges in India. Recently in NIRF Ranking by MHRD, NIT Silchar holds 46th rank among best engineering Institutes in the country.
My brother is from NIT Silchar and this is the best thing that ever happened to him. But also every institute has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Pros:
Cons:
I hope my answer is helpful to you.
When I asked a senior of mine the same question, she told me to exclude NIT Raipur. The reason is, NIT Raipur is one of the newer institutes and to be considered worthy, the institute has to improve a lot.
The other two institutes, however, would be a tough call.
My senior said BIT Mesra is slightly ahead of NIT Hamirpur just because the former has been around for much longer than the latter.
Despite all that, NIT Hamirpur is located in pleasant surroundings. In addition to that, it will also give you the NIT tag and is an INI. So, in the case of comparison by merit, it all depends on who has the higher cut-off in a particular session.
NIT Hamirpur is also a new NIT and it is improving with each day. On the other hand, the quality of education, placements in the electrical branch of NIT Raipur are going down with each passing day.
My brother is from PEC Chandigarh, so I might be able to share some facts with you. Some important factors regarding placements of PEC include the following:
Above all, study hard to gain good core knowledge, use your nit tag, and try to land good off-campus placement offers. This will certainly change the atmosphere on campus and your college's image in the eyes of industry. The change will come gradually with time.
My friends have been studying in both NIT Hamirpur and PEC Chandigarh and according to their first-hand experience, PEC Chandigarh holds an edge. Here’s why:

Overall, while both the colleges offer good education, NIT holds a big brand name. However, factors like location and opportunities come first when in such a dilemma. Also, as you are getting the same branch in both the colleges, choose PEC Chandigarh any day.
NSIT/DTU is far better than NIT Hamirpur for CSE.
Be it academics, placement, research culture, peer group, exposure, etc. NSIT/DTU will offer better opportunities. These two institutes also have a locational advantage. Due to the favorable location, you can easily get good exposure in the CSE domain. NSIT and DTU both will offer you plenty of opportunities. However, many students prefer NSIT for their small student intake.
It is unfair to compare IIIT Allahabad with NIT Hamirpur. If you take a look at the closing cutoff for IIIT Allahabad and NIT Hamirpur, the difference will be clear.
If you have the option to choose IIIT Allahabad, go for it without giving it a second thought. Now if you clear the cutoff for IT at IIIT A, you will be eligible for ECE as well.
Here is a brief comparison of IIIT Allahabad and NIT Hamirpur.

I have many friends at IIIT Allahabad and based on what I heard from them I will suggest you choose the institute.
Before selecting among institutes, you should decide which branch to opt for. As per the question asked, you must have an interest in both EE and CSE at the two specified institutes.
The points followed will give certain guidelines, based on which you can come to a conclusion.
Considering the above points, it can be deduced that EE at NIT Hamirpur is a better option, having a better college reputation and good campus life.
Below is some information on the three institutes: PEC Chandigarh, NIT Hamirpur, and DTU:
PEC Chandigarh:
Based on the above factors, PEC Chandigarh should be given a rating of 8 out of 10.
NIT Hamirpur:
Based on the above factors, NIT Hamirpur should be given a rating of 7 out of 10.
DTU:
Based on the above factors, DTU should be given a rating of 9 out of 10.
