DTU University is a non-affiliating teaching and research university. It was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic, and DTU Delhi was founded in 1952. DTU is ranked 61 in the overall category by NIRF 2023. It is not only the mother institution of many national institutions, such as IIT Delhi, NSIT, and the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), but it is also the second-oldest engineering college in the country. The university has been running for about 78 years now. DTU offers courses like BTech, MTech, PhD, and MBA. It contains 14 departments that offer scientific and technological education and research courses.

DTU registration period for B.Tech for Lateral Entry, M.Design, PhD Summer, MBA (BA), M.Tech, B.Design, and International Admissions has now ended. A student’s JEE Mains general category rank must be under 10,000 to be admitted to DTU and granted a place. This implies that the JEE Mains score must be at least above the 99.2 percentile. 

Based on the All India Rank (AIR) received in the JEE-Mains, a full-time B.Tech program is offered. Candidates' scores in the State Diploma Examination are used to decide their admission to the BTech (Lateral Entry) program at DTU.GATE scores are needed for the postgraduate programs at DTU Delhi. Admission to DTU's Bachelor of Design degree is decided by UCEED results. The Common Admission Test (CAT) exam is necessary for admission to the DTU MBA program following a group discussion and interview.

The highest package for the 2022 DTU placement was INR 64.23 LPA. At DTU, the standard salary was INR 15.16 LPA. A total of 413 bids were higher than INR 20 LPA. Adobe, Amazon, Palantir, and other important employment organizations were listed. The University also provides Hostel facilities for students. The 'Permanent Address' field that the applicant filled out during the admissions process is used to determine the hostel they would be assigned to. Since there is a shortage of hostel space, seats will only be given to Delhi Technological University's full-time, genuine colleagues. Candidates must submit applications as soon as they are accepted to the institute to get a room in the hostel, as there are four girls' hostels and eight boys' dormitories.

DTU Admission 2023

Delhi Technological University allows 10% relaxation for SC/ST categories and 5% for OBC candidates. PwD candidates and Defense category candidates are also given 10% and 5% relaxation, respectively. The official website allows DTU B.Tech. Application Forms are to be filled out with a counseling fee. Candidates who have successfully completed their qualifying examination at a school in Delhi or the NCT of Delhi are eligible for 85% of the available seats.

In the first year of college, DTU offers scholarships that are given out based on a student's academic performance. Two final-year students who demonstrate merit are offered a second prize that will pay for their MBA tuition at Wright State University's Raj Soin College of Business. For applicants from schools outside of Delhi, 15% of seats are set aside. Kashmiri Migrants (KM), state/central board toppers, and Single Girl children (SG) who are residing in the NCT of Delhi are also eligible for reservation of one seat in each course.

DTU Campus Life And Events

Delhi Technological University was located on the Kashmiri Gate campus until 1989. On Bawana Road, a new 164-acre property was acquired, and operations were moved there in 1995 from Kashmiri Gate. The new campus officially started classes for all four years of study in 1999. In Vivek Vihar, East Delhi, DTU opened the "University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME)" campus in 2017. Students in undergraduate and graduate programs can take management courses at the new campus. Currently, MBA, MBA business analytics, BBA, and BA in economics courses are offered at the USME, the east campus of DTU. With 345 faculty members and scientists, 8703 publications, and 24 patents, DTU is best suited for B.Tech. It is one of the Tier 1 colleges in India.
