What should one choose between MAIT ECE and DTU civil?
Posted On - Jul 5, 2021You should choose DTU Civil. It offers better placement and exposure. DTU is among the leading technological institute in the country with a legacy of 50+ years. You can learn to code, irrespective of your branch. If you have decent coding skills, you can easily get decent job opportunities in the IT sector through campus placements. Your branch will not be an obstacle. DTU placements 2022 had witnessed the highest CTC of INR 1.2 Crore per annum.
I have friends from both MAIT and DTU. Based on the reviews that I got from them, I will say that you should choose the Civil branch at DTU over the ECE branch at MAIT. Here is why.
- DTU is an old government institution. The college will provide ample opportunities for you.
- You can also learn coding the campus if you do not want to study only core subjects.
- DTU has got a good campus with a lot of extracurricular activities.
- If you perform well in the first year, you may get up-gradation of the branch after the 1st year.
- The college has a good alumni network as well.
- Around 64% of students in the civil branch got placed. The highest CTC offered in the CE branch was INR 17.8 LPA and the average CTC was INR 7.36 LPA. The top recruiters were L&T, Ashok Leyland, WAPCOS, Bain, GMR, etc. There were some government organizations as well like GAIL, ONGC, Coal India, etc.
MAIT is a relatively new institute that is still in the development stage in comparison to DTU. So, you will be better off with DTU Civil.
