When it comes to MAIT, it may not have the same coding environment as other colleges like MSIT or BVP. However, it is important to note that things are changing at MAIT, and there are opportunities for students to participate in coding competitions, Hackathons, Competitive Programming, Open Source, and more.
You will get an overview of the college from the video below
There are a total of about 12 seats in the first shift of management quota admissions in MAIT, IPU, and a total of about 6 seats in the second shift in each branch of management quota in MAIT.
In order to take up a management quota seat, you should have connections with any of the trustees of the college. Moreover, you must contact the college administrative block for more details.
In addition to that, you must keep visiting the college on a regular basis and visit the college's official website frequently in order to get updated for every information. The management quota seats are limited and almost get filled up faster in the month of July.
You will get a friendly environment and culture to grow in MAIT. It doesn’t offer all the branches as lower-ranked government colleges. The culture here helps a student to develop the skills required after entering into the field.
One of my friends, who pursued his engineering in the CSE branch from MAIT, told me that no other branch than CSE gives high placements when compared with IPU government colleges. This plays a major role in getting placed in top companies. Many of his seniors have cracked CAT and got into IIMs.
It doesn’t matter from which college you are getting your degree, what matters is your goal and working hard to live it. There are many others, who have passed out from the government. colleges and are placed in top-notch companies. This happened because of the strong determination you have inside you. So just work hard and move on.
The college is situated near my home and I have often interacted with the students. The following points are clearly based on my experience with students:
If you are looking for college life, go to NSIT and DTU because life can get boring at MAIT. You will need to find friends who are willing to be there for you for your four years at MAIT otherwise it could get very boring.
If you want to simply study there, then you may enroll. The new faculty members might not be very efficient at teaching but the older ones are excellent in their subjects.
The campus has a huge playground which is accessible only during the break. If you love natural, rustic surroundings, then you'd love what's outside the campus because it is situated amidst a rural community.
There is no interaction between seniors and juniors all throughout the first year. However, if stay in the hostel then maybe you will get some of it. If you're looking forward to joining some extracurricular activities apart from the drama club and or a tech club, then to your disappointment you will notice that the crowd is too unenthusiastic but you might get used to it.
If your future dreams include a CSE-based career then you can join MAIT because it's one of the best colleges in Delhi for it. If you need more options then, you can also go for Thapar's electronics/electrical program wherein the spot round you can choose between MAIT or USICT.
MAIT and MSIT both are well-known colleges. Both of the colleges have good placements, faculties, and the right exposure for the students. However, it all comes down to you. If the subject is your preference then you should go for CSE because CSE is more preferable to IT. If placement and package are your preference then you should join MAIT since it is way better than MSIT in every way possible.
Here’s a brief comparison of the two institutes.

MAIT has better recognition than MSIT. More companies visit MAIT and recruit students with packages more than an MSIT student receives. CSE and IT branches have no major difference in curriculum and career choices are also almost the same so therefore the finalization comes down to colleges performance and status in which MAIT leads the way.
I have a friend from MAIT and he has better knowledge about the branch change at the institute. Here is what he had to say.
If you want to upgrade your seat from one branch to another you need to work hard and get a good percentage(80+). Then only you will upgrade your seat.
During or after the end term exams of the 2nd semester the university will release forms to change branches. After getting the form you have to fill in the details and submit the form to your college administration.
Within the span of a week, the university will release the list of students' names who applied for the upgrade. Check your details if there is any mistake, consult the college administration.
After a few days, the new list will be released by the university regarding the branch upgrade. Once your desired branch is upgraded, you should visit the dean of the college and he will discuss further formalities regarding the branch upgradation.
You should choose DTU Civil. It offers better placement and exposure. DTU is among the leading technological institute in the country with a legacy of 50+ years. You can learn to code, irrespective of your branch. If you have decent coding skills, you can easily get decent job opportunities in the IT sector through campus placements. Your branch will not be an obstacle. DTU placements 2022 had witnessed the highest CTC of INR 1.2 Crore per annum.
One of my friends studied at Symbiosis, so I might be able to help you with the question.

If you want to live a joyful life, it takes a lot of effort to do it here. If you want to research and think college would support you, then that won’t happen. You won’t get any sort of support from the college. But Symbiosis will give you enough industrial exposure.
Few of my friends attend SMVDU, so I can give you a brief idea about the institute. SMVDU is surrounded by hills, greenery and is situated away from the hubbub of the city. The university provides a good internet facility, good faculty, good infrastructure, etc.
The university has different clubs for theatre, music, literature, photography, code, and robotics. Every department of the university organizes its own college fests.
The fests are:
There are other fests as well like the cultural fest Resurgence and the Sports fest Sarang.
To know more about the institutes, you can visit the official websites.
