NIT Trichy does not only offer a better placement scenario but also offers a unique learning experience especially if you are a north Indian. You will get to learn many new things and experience the diversity of cultures. A friend shared his experience. After studying at NIT Trichy

  • Language: He was able to differentiate between Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. He made some amazing South Indian friends that taught him a lot about their cultures
  • Crowd: The peer quality is no joke here as you will be surrounded by some of the best minds in the country. This intense competition will only encourage you to perform better
  • Extracurricular: NIT Trichy has around 50 clubs catering to various passions and fields. There are technical as well as social clubs that are completely run by the students. There are clubs for everything from theater and drama to music and fine arts.
  • Soft Skills: At NIT Trichy you will get the chance to inculcate some amazing soft skills that will enhance your CV. You can become a marketing manager for a national-level college tech or cultural fest.
  • English Language: The only way to survive here is to speak English so NIT Trichy also helps in improving your English language which is very important in today's world.

To summarize, NIT Trichy is better than NSIT and DTU in every aspect except location.

You should consider DTU or NSIT CSE. Both are good options and almost at par with each other. DTU and NSIT have great coding cultures and good placement records for the CSE branch. DTU CSE average package is around INR 10-15 LPA. While for NSIT CSE, the average package is around INR 12-15 LPA.

Delhi houses many industries. So, it’s easier for students to get good placements and internship opportunities. You can also prepare for competitive examinations such as CAT, GRE, GMAT, etc. Delhi has many good coaching institutes.

One of my friends was in an exact situation 2 years back and had to choose between NIT Trichy, Warangal, DTU, and NSIT. Let me give you an unbiased answer, with the details I got from him. First of all, we need to keep in mind that every institute has its pros and cons.

Pros and Cons of NIT Trichy

  • NIT Trichy has a highly experienced faculty.
  • Students graduating from NIT will hold the prestigious NIT tag, which can sometimes be valuable.
  • Students here are very enthusiastic. They get involved in projects, interactive clubs. They also have a decent coding culture.
  • Placements at NIT Trichy are really great. There are 1 to 2 reputed firms that visit only the top 3 NITs after IITs.
  • Due to its location, they lack proper industrial exposure. Seminars and internship opportunities mostly depend on that. However, things are developing and growing there.
  • If you are North Indian, you might find it difficult to adjust to the food, culture, weather, etc.

Pros and cons of DTU and NSIT

  • They have a great industrial exposure and brand name.
  • If you are not a hardcore CSE inclined student and might want to pursue MBA later, this is the right place for you.
  • Excellent coding culture and options for research projects in IIT-D or IIIT-D.
  • Superb placements and by famous companies like Microsoft, Google, etc.
  • Their faculty is average, as mentioned by the students.
  • The demand for CSE batch results is more competitive.

My friend chose DTU because of their senior-junior interaction, which had been a legacy since it was DCE, which makes up more than for any negative point. DCE Coders and DCE Programmers are great examples of this.
