₹ 73,000I have an option of choosing either metallurgy or civil but I chose the metallurgy branch BCz pkg is more in comparison with civil and this branch is easy to moderate in comparison with civil. Faculty members are very helpful and cooperative, they take quick action if you need help and the student ratio is about 10:1. Faculty members are very much qualified and knowledgeable but have to study by themselves for the sem The sem exam is like the sem starts after 1 and half months Ca1 exam will be held for 15 marks and after 1,2 week mid-term will be started with 25 marks after 1-month end term will hold for 60 marks .ca and mid is quite easy and end sem is moderate

Faculties here are knowledgeable and easier to approach. The faculty ratio is 1: 80 during lectures but after that, if anyone has doubts they clarify them personally. Exams are timely and they are quite up to standard since it's a bit hard papers out there.

Read Full ReviewNIT Jamshedpur is better than NIT Durgapur. The placement drive at NIT Jamshedpur says it all. The average CTC of INR 14.72 LPA while the highest CTC was recorded to be 72.5 LPA. Compared to 2021, a total placement percentage of 97.2%, with 850+ offers overall is achieved by NIT Jamshedpur this year.
As per NIRF Rankings, NIT Durgapur is ahead of NIT Jamshedpur but it is still better in terms of core branches. With an aggressive placement cell, NITJ has set a record.
Alumni and rank-wise, IIEST Shibpur is better. It is India’s 2nd oldest technical institute. It attracts talented students from all over the country. You will be among a competitive peer group. The environment on campus is great for learning. It has an extensive alumni network, tanks to more than 165 years of legacy.
As far as placement goes IIEST Shibpur and NIT Durgapur offer similar opportunities. Tech giants like Microsoft, and Directi visit IIEST Shibpur placement. PSUs like Coal India also hire from core departments of the institute. The average CTC offered to the students is around INR 6-7 LPA.
Due to the above factors, IIEST Shibpur has a little edge over NIT Durgapur. But both are premier institutes and offer decent academic and placement opportunities.
You can take a drop year if you are confident that you will get IIT. But if you want to have options, it will be better to join IIIT Gwalior and prepare for JEE Advanced. The curriculum isn’t too demanding, you will have ample time for preparation. Also, this way you will have a backup.
IIIT Gwalior has an excellent coding culture. If you are interested in coding and have skills, you can get good placement offers.
If you are going to take admission for M.Tech in any of these colleges it will be worth the choice. All are quite established and are doing great in curriculum and placements.
But there is always the best among the rest and hence, I would like to suggest you opt for NIT Durgapur. It beats both IIIT Allahabad and IIITM Gwalior. Also, regarding the two IIITs, IIIT Allahabad certainly does better than IIITM Gwalior in competitive programming and placements

It is suggested you go for NIT Durgapur. Definitely, do your side of research as well for a clear choice among all the three colleges.
It would be better to opt for Chemical Engineering at NIT Trichy. The institute will offer you a better faculty, upgraded infrastructure, a better peer group, and superior placements. If you are genuinely interested in chemical engineering then you have a lot of scope in NIT Trichy.
NIT Trichy is more developed as compared to the other NITs and offers a lot of exposure. Choose this branch only if you will further go for higher education in Chemical Engineering. The job opportunities right after graduation are very less and it would be difficult.
However, if you are concerned about placements, then CSE will be the suitable option as the branch has a lot of opportunities.
Jadavpur University is better than NIT Durgapur. In spite of being an NIT, NIT D fails to offer many basic facilities. The undergraduate laboratories are not well-maintained. The campus doesn’t have an active research interface for undergraduate degrees.
Jadavpur University students receive way better learning resources and guidance for higher studies. Located at the heart of Kolkata, there is better availability of coaching for competitive examinations. It offers better placements as well. More than 100 recruiting companies took part in Jadavpur University placements of 2022. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 1.8 CPA. Industry giants such as Apple, Facebook, Google, Amazon, etc. took part in the placement drive.
Having friends in both the institutes, I can say that overall, NIT Durgapur is a better choice among the two. But IIEST is also an excellent institute with national importance.
There are several factors that affect the placement in both the institutes, according to them here are some -
The following table shows important statistics for both institutes:

Average CTC | 12-16 LPA |
Being one of the oldest and most reputed branches in NIT Jamshedpur, It is suggested that you go for Metallurgy. There is a huge scope in Jamshedpur as well as all over India.
First of all, never compare Jadavpur University with NIT Durgapur for the Engineering stream. Second important thing is, people usually prefer B.Tech and M.Tech students over the one who has opted for Dual degree program. The reason for this is dual degree programs are not valuable in industry or research.
Talking particularly about CSE, Jadavpur University is quite good and even better than the new IITs and most of the NITs. Among the given options, CSE at Jadavpur University is the best option to opt for. You will enjoy your studies here. You will have a good range of research projects. You will get abundant internship opportunities from here. Although placements at JU are not as great as compared to IITs, NITs, BITS, and IIITs.
