Christ (Deemed to be University) is a private deemed-to-be university in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It started as Christ College in 1969 under the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) congregation and received deemed university status from UGC in 2008. Most courses need 10+2 in the relevant stream with 50% aggregate, while SC/ST students need 45%. The selection process includes ET-CU marks, Micro Presentation (MP), and Personal Interview (PI). For BCA, students must have studied Mathematics or Computer Science at the 10+2 level.
Law Programmes (CULEE)
BA LLB Hons and BBA LLB Hons are 5-year integrated law courses. Admission is through CULEE, which means Christ University Law Entrance Examination. Applicants need 10+2 in any stream with at least 45% aggregate. After CULEE, shortlisted students attend Micro Presentation and Personal Interview. LLM admission is through a law-specific ET-CU variant, and applicants must have at least 50% in LLB.
MBA Admission
The MBA programme covers Finance, Marketing, HR, Business Analytics, and Lean Operations. Applicants must be graduates and need one of these scores: 60th percentile in CAT, XAT, CMAT, or ATMA, 600 and above in MAT, 450 and above in GMAT FOCUS, or 295 and above in GRE. After application screening, the university conducts Micro Presentation and Personal Interview.
PhD Admission
For PhD admission, students need a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification with at least 55% aggregate. Applicants with NET/JRF, CSIR-NET, or GATE do not have to take the written entrance test, but they still need to attend Skill Assessment and Interview. Other applicants appear for the written entrance test and then the interview.
