Christ (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, uses ET-CU, also called CUET, for most UG and PG courses, including BBA and MBA routes, and does not depend on JoSAA or MCC counselling. MBA applicants must submit a valid CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT FOCUS, or GRE score before the university-level selection round. For PhD, the full time fee is INR 60,000 per year, the part time fee is INR 80,000 per year, and the registration fee is INR 8,000.

Admission Update:

  • UG courses such as BBA, B.Com, BA, BCA, B.Sc, B.Tech, BHM, BSW, and B.Ed are covered under the university's entrance and selection route.
  • MBA selection includes MP, PI, and GD after the applicant meets the accepted entrance score requirement.
  • PhD admission is released cohort wise through the Centre for Research.
  • Christ University uses ET-CU as its own entrance test, and NTA CUET is not accepted for most courses.
  • ET-CU sessions are held as remote proctored online CBTs, and an exam slot cannot be rescheduled under any situation.
  • Students in their final year of Class 12 can apply using Class 10 and Class 11 marks, but Class 12 marks must be submitted before admission formalities are completed.
  • For UG courses, General category applicants need 50% in Class 12, while SC and ST applicants need 45%.
  • BA LLB Hons and BBA LLB Hons use CULEE, a separate law entrance test, and the minimum eligibility is 45% for all categories.
  • The university also runs a separate NRI and International Selection Process for NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, SAARC nationals, and other international applicants.
  • The admission fee must be paid within 5 working days of the offer letter, or the allotted seat is lost.

Christ University UG Admission 2026

Christ University offers UG admission in Commerce, Management, Science, Arts, Computer Applications, Technology, Hospitality, Social Work, Education, and Law. For most UG courses, students take ET-CU first. Shortlisted students then attend Skill Assessment, Micro Presentation, and Personal Interview before the final admission offer is issued.

Christ University UG Eligibility Criteria

Programme Eligibility Entrance Test
BBA, B.Com, BHM, BSW 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate, or 45% for SC/ST ET-CU
BA, Humanities and Social Sciences 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate, or 45% for SC/ST ET-CU
BCA 10+2 with Mathematics or Computer Science and minimum 50% aggregate ET-CU
B.Sc, Science streams 10+2 with relevant science subjects and minimum 50% aggregate ET-CU
B.Tech 10+2 with PCM and minimum 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics taken together ET-CU
B.Ed Graduation from a recognised university with minimum 50% aggregate ET-CU

Christ University UG Selection Criteria

UG selection is based on all stages together. A high entrance test score by itself does not confirm admission.

  • ET-CU is an online CBT with 120 MCQs to be answered in 90 minutes. The sections depend on the course and may cover English Language, General Knowledge, Reasoning, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, or Humanities. A correct answer carries 1 mark, a wrong answer carries a penalty of 0.25 marks, and unanswered questions have no deduction.
  • Skill Assessment is a written test at the university campus. It checks academic understanding and programme-related technical skills.
  • Micro Presentation requires the applicant to speak for 90 seconds on a topic given on the spot. It tests quick thinking and communication.
  • Personal Interview is taken by a panel. It covers academic background, co-curricular work, career goals, critical thinking, and Class 10 and Class 12 academic records.

Christ University Law Admission 2026

Law admission at the School of Law, Christ University, is through CULEE, the Christ University Law Entrance Exam. BA LLB Hons and BBA LLB Hons are both five year integrated law degrees. CULEE is different from the general ET-CU used for other UG courses and is also different from CLAT conducted by the CLAT Consortium.

Programme Eligibility Entrance Test
BA LLB Hons, 5 years 10+2 in Humanities, Commerce, Science, or any stream from a recognised board with minimum 45% aggregate CULEE
BBA LLB Hons, 5 years 10+2 in any stream from a recognised board with minimum 45% aggregate CULEE

Christ University Law Selection Criteria

For BA LLB Hons and BBA LLB Hons, students must complete CULEE, Micro Presentation, and Personal Interview.

  • CULEE is a computer based test with 120 objective questions and a duration of 90 minutes. It includes English Language, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, and Data Interpretation. Each correct answer gives 1 mark, and each wrong answer leads to a penalty of 0.25 marks.
  • Micro Presentation is a 90 second talk on a given topic. It checks clear communication and organised thinking.
  • Personal Interview checks legal aptitude, current awareness, personality, academic record, and overall performance across the selection process.

Note: CLAT scores are not accepted for Christ University law admission. CULEE is the required entrance route for BA LLB and BBA LLB at SLCU. Students preparing for both CLAT-participating NLUs and Christ University must take both entrance exams separately.

Christ University PG admission includes MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc, MA, M.Com, MSW, and LLM. MBA applicants are first screened through national entrance exam scores, and then they attend the university's own selection process. For other PG courses, ET-CU is followed by Skill Assessment, Micro Presentation, and Personal Interview.

Christ University MBA Eligibility Criteria

MBA applicants need a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with minimum 50% aggregate. Final year undergraduate students can also apply. A valid score from one of the accepted tests taken in 2025 or 2026 is compulsory.

XAT 2026 60th percentile

GMAT FOCUS 2025 or 2026 450 and above
GRE 2025 or 2026 295 and above

Christ University MBA Selection Criteria

After entrance score screening, MBA selection is completed through three university-level stages held at the campus.

  • Micro Presentation requires the applicant to speak for 90 seconds on an on-the-spot topic without preparation time.
  • Personal Interview checks academic background, work experience if any, career clarity, and general awareness.
  • Group Discussion checks analytical ability, teamwork, and group communication. Final admission depends on the entrance score, MP, PI, GD, and academic records taken together.

For the Dual MBA programme with THWS, Germany, applicants must have at least 1 year of work experience before applying.

The interviews can be conducted online to help students living in different states or countries to make it accessible to all

Having done some research on both the colleges, I have gathered some information which I am going to share with you. Hope this answers your question.

  • Christ University Bangalore is a more experienced institute. It has the locational advantage being in Bangalore, which is the IT hub of India.
  • A student of Christ University enjoys higher chances of being hired by IT MNC firms, after completing BBA.
  • There is no exit option for the IPM course in IIM Indore once enrolled.
  • In the current scenario, companies are showing preference to students who have a multi-disciplinary background. Pursuing a BBA and MBA with specializations will be a better option than pursuing a program for five years.
  • Moreover, the average packages offered to the students who are pursuing IPM is less than that offered to the students who are pursuing PGDM.
Categories Christ University Bangalore
Course Fee 5 lakhs
Highest CTC 8 LPA
Average CTC 3.56 LPA
Recruiting Companies Tech Mahindra, Accenture, IBM, Dell, etc.

The final two years of IPM are PGDM. The reason for this is that IPM students have to take IPMAT and for PGDM, they will have to take CAT. CAT is much more difficult than the former. In addition to that, IPM is a new course. So it is really not worth the enormous amount of money. In Christ University, you will know the extent of its brand value.

It all depends on what you want to do. Here are a few things to think about:

  • Flexibility -You have a lot of time at DU. You can study Actuarial Science, CFA, CFP, Data Analyst, CIMA, ACCA, CS, CWA, and many other things. As a result, more career opportunities are available at DU. Christ is very strict about attendance, and you don't have time, so you must concentrate solely on the course.

  • Fees - College fees are approximately Rs 12000 per year, as opposed to Rs 1,000,000 in Christ.

  • Exposure - There are numerous societies at DU that can provide excellent exposure. Society is better in Christ, but imagine 4000 students competing for that opportunity. Furthermore, DU departmental and college fest are better experiences for students than Christ because students manage everything from arranging funds to organizing every event without much help from authorities. Furthermore, you can compete in competitions organized by various DU colleges ranging from debate, music, and dance to mock stock, treasure hunt, and beg, borrow, and steal. However, because you are required to give regular presentations in class and because of the diversity of students, Christ aids in the development of an average person's personality.

  • Placement- At 95%, you can get DCAC or Shaheed Bhagat College, which do not have a placement boost of more than 20-30%. However, in Christ, you will receive more than 70% placement ( depends upon course though ). The average salary given is not significantly different. (Approximately 3 to 4). However, some companies that offer better packages do come in Christ ( i.e above 5 lac ) Some sales and marketing firms unrelated to your course may be present in DU.

  • Curriculum - The curriculum at DU is outdated and lacks a practical aspect, whereas at Christ, they will provide you with numerous case studies and a rigorous syllabus. During your three-year tenure at Christ, you will be required to complete an internship and work in an NGO.

  • Emotional Benefit - Because Christ has a good ranking, a large crowd, a great environment, and a good infrastructure, you will feel more confident. It might not be the case in DU.

  • Faculty- Professors at DU are far more qualified than those at other colleges, and some are published authors as well. However, because they are a government institution, some do not teach at all and waste time. There are a few who teach exceptionally well. In Christ, even if they are not college or research paper qualified, almost all of them teach and even encourage students to come to them.

  • Alumni & Peer Group - Alumni of Christ are not strong enough to make a significant impact. North campus colleges in DU have excellent alumni. In terms of the south campus, it is the same as Christ for colleges such as SBSC, DCAC, Gargi, and so on. Peer group is also similar in terms of hard work and intelligence (though it may be higher in DU). However, the overall alumni of Delhi University are far more accomplished than Christ ever will be.

Colleges also assist in providing an initial push. It makes no difference where you went to college once you get a job. So it all depends on your goals and the type of person you are. If you can plan and follow it, you will have more time to do things that will help you achieve your goals more easily because Delhi has the best coaching facilities for everything. If you simply cannot, choose Christ because you will be required to work due to regular assignments, which instills discipline in a person.

Among these, ISBR is better. Students are groomed through experiential academics. During the course cohort, you will get to attend various corporate visits, events, workshops, and seminars and learn the latest industry trends.

ISBR Bangalore placements are excellent. Accenture, Bajaj, Cars 24, Decathlon, and HDFC are some of the major recruiters for the institute. During the 2022 placement drive, students received an average CTC of INR 7.5 LPA. While the highest CTC was INR 11 LPA.

Choosing between IIM and Christ University is not a difficult decision. Without second thoughts, forgo the offer from Christ University and go for IIM Indore. This is because

  • The title of IIM is more than enough to open opportunities for you in the future
  • You will get better exposure and crowd at IIM than at Christ university
  • Obviously the placement opportunities are better at IIM than at any other university.

It’s your attitude towards learning that matters more than the college itself. Yet if I have to comment on the two colleges, I would say Christ University is a fairly good choice. The main reasons are

  • The fest culture makes you come out of your comfort zones and test your limits and diversify your talents.
  • The overqualified rules set by the college increase your patience level ten folds
  • You get to live in Bangalore, the city of innumerable opportunities and dreams.

However, if you are joining the college with the mindset of being taught then you need to rectify it. Here it’s you who has to force yourself to learn no one is going to push you. Anyone who wants to learn about business, in reality, will not be able to gain much from this B School. The B School churns out managers only. Rarely does it give birth to a business owner or entrepreneur despite the university’s module for entrepreneurship in a semester.
