Firstly, IIM Indore does not offer a BBA degree. Christ University has an excellent curriculum of BBA. In IIM Indore, you can opt for Integrated Programme in Management which is a five year degree with the last two years of PGDM. However, if you want to study BBA, then Christ University is your best option. The faculty, curriculum, and campus life are one of the finest. I have friends who have pursued a BBA from Christ and they tell me that the campus life at Christ is the best in India. They host multiple events throughout the years which gives you a lot of exposure. Also, the placements are top-notch. The top recruiters such as Amazon, Accenture, Cognizant, KPMG, etc visit the college to recruit the students.

IIM Indore offers an Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) instead of a BBA. It is a 5-year program. There is no exit option in IPM.

My brother pursued his IPM from IIM Indore and according to him, it is a better option because-

  1. The faculty is better and more experienced.
  2. The courses are relevant to present-day demands.
  3. IPM offers PGDM in the last two years.
  4. IIM tag is enough to fetch a good job with a handsome salary.
  5. Hostel life at IIM will teach friendship and teamwork.

If you live in Bangalore, you can choose Christ University:

  1. Christ University is an excellent option for a BBA.
  2. The cost of BBA at Christ is much lower than IPM at IIM Indore.
  3. You can stay at home and you will not have to adjust to the hostel life.
  4. Just keep in mind that there is no guarantee that you will clear the CAT with a high enough percentile to then get admission into the IIM Indore PGDM program.
  5. Christ University does have the locational advantage of being situated in the IT Capital of India, Bangalore.

Whichever option you choose depends upon your personal preference and whether you wish to pursue an integrated course or to go for a BBA and then an MBA sounds like a better option to you.

Both IIM Indore and Christ University are among the top institutions in India.

Having done some research on both the colleges, I have gathered some information which I am going to share with you. Hope this answers your question.

  • Christ University Bangalore is a more experienced institute. It has the locational advantage being in Bangalore, which is the IT hub of India.
  • A student of Christ University enjoys higher chances of being hired by IT MNC firms, after completing BBA.
  • There is no exit option for the IPM course in IIM Indore once enrolled.
  • In the current scenario, companies are showing preference to students who have a multi-disciplinary background. Pursuing a BBA and MBA with specializations will be a better option than pursuing a program for five years.
  • Moreover, the average packages offered to the students who are pursuing IPM is less than that offered to the students who are pursuing PGDM.
Categories Christ University Bangalore
Course Fee 5 lakhs
Highest CTC 8 LPA
Average CTC 3.56 LPA
Recruiting Companies Tech Mahindra, Accenture, IBM, Dell, etc.

The final two years of IPM are PGDM. The reason for this is that IPM students have to take IPMAT and for PGDM, they will have to take CAT. CAT is much more difficult than the former. In addition to that, IPM is a new course. So it is really not worth the enormous amount of money. In Christ University, you will know the extent of its brand value.
