₹ 12,235They are nice to students and helpful to every student and the staff is very supportive. I chose this course because I found many opportunities in this course. The total student ratio in class is 5:1 Qualifications of teacher staff are from Droctrate.
Read Full ReviewTeaching is good and it's very easy to understand and study. Exam dates and timings are perfect and had required time to study for the exam. The qualification of faculty members is fine and their teachings are good.
Read Full ReviewThere is a lot of job opportunity in the food sector. Food engineers get a good salary and the job is always an office job not like a civil engineering field job. You can become a food inspector too. In m.tech here, students are very low in about 25 only, Including 5 different food branches. The faculty is not good enough. Student and faculty ratio is 2:1 to 3:1 Here many lecturers are seniors having more than 1 research. Some teachers do not hold a Dr. Title as they only have a master's degree. Teaching is quite bad here. Exams are always delayed from the expected/ scheduled time in the academic calendar. Exams are not hard to pass.
Read Full ReviewI opted for this course as I wanted to pursue a course which is the best known from a particular college, so SHUATS is very much known for btech/bsc. Agriculture so I opted for it. faculty and student ratio was 1:4. Qualifications of faculties are very high and appreciable but some faculties are still there which are not up to the mark as others in the same team. Exams are scheduled at regular intervals, sometimes it gets difficult to achieve good marks but it was never difficult to pass.
Read Full ReviewIndia has a bright future in agriculture so I have chosen an agriculture course for my high degree. Faculties are very helpful to all students. All the teaching faculties are NET qualified and phd and make everything easy for students to understand. All the exams are conducted timely in the university
Read Full ReviewI chose this course because of different reasons firstly I have been interested in this course since my childhood. By studying Agriculture I feel like I am very close to nature. Secondly I like the college location it's surroundings and environment. The student-teacher ratio is 1:10(approx). Teachers with their PhD degree and NET qualified. We need to appear for the seasonal testing i.e. every end-of-the-month test is taken and its marks are directly added to the final result. Exams are of moderate level which can be easily passed.
Read Full ReviewI have a few friends from SHUATS and they didn’t have good experiences at the institute. Here are some of the things that they complained about.
So, don’t choose SHUATS, if you have other options.
Yes, SHUATS is a recognized university. A few years back the university’s name changed to Sam Higginbottom University of Agricultural Technology and Sciences. It comes under the state government of Uttarpradesh. It is UGC approved and recognized as an ‘A’ grade university. It is also linked with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
You can get admission in SHUATS at this rank but it depends on which branch you want to opt for.
The cutoff, however, differs from branch to branch.
For more information you can visit the official website of the college and find out more about vacant seats that in which branch there is a seat vacant so you can opt. Better course during counseling.
SHUATS and LPU are the recognized agriculture engineering institutes in India. It is preferable to join LPU as it is one of the top private universities in terms of education and placements. LPU imparts knowledge to students through theoretical and practical approaches. With a commitment to innovation, it provides the best learning experience possible.
The following are the reasons to join B.Sc. Agriculture program in LPU.
In conclusion, I will say LPU is the best choice for agriculture.
There are some direct admissions for students on the spot admission.
Numerous students who don’t appear for the entrance exam take admission through backdoor admissions. One of my friends who were at SHUATS told me that in his class he had only 180 seats including ICAR seats but later he learned there were 216 IDs.
However, this might not be true as there is officially no management quota at the institute. You should try to work hard and get a decent rank.
It is okay for people who want to have a career in dairy or agriculture. The placement is, however, not completely guaranteed for these courses. The other courses that the institute offers are not worth the money and you will be better off in some other institute. There is a plus though, you will get a lot of time to prepare for the government sector if you opt for SHUATS.
There is no equipment and an attendance of 75% is compulsory for admit cards. The marksheet will not have much impact once you are done with the course. Money is the only agenda of the place so think again. The teachers hardly take the classes and the ones who do, do not make much of a difference.
Yes, SHUATS provides scholarships for OBC students pursuing B.Sc Agriculture. However, you will need to be from UP, to avail of the scholarships. Your family income also needs to be less than two to three lakhs. U.P Govt. also offers scholarships to eligible students. Other than that, the university offers fee concessions. But to get it, you will need to have connections.
SHUATS offers a great B.Tech Agriculture Engineering program. This program is affiliated with ICAR and it is among the top courses offered by the university. SHUATS has a decent infrastructure. Classes are regular. B.Tech Agriculture Engineering coursework is a combination of Agriculture and Machinery.
The placement record of the course isn’t excellent. According to the recent highlights of SHUATS placements around 40% of students from B.Tech Agriculture Engineering get placed. Few companies such as Mahindra, Sonalika, etc. visit the campus placements.
If you have a rank of 3000-4000, you should get admission easily in BCA at SHUATS. I have also known people who got admission with 5000+ rank. But if you don’t want to do a post-graduate then doing a B.Tech will be better. You can also do a B.Sc degree in Computer Science and pursue an MCA degree after.
In SHUATS, you can find students from all across the country and even students from foreign countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Russia, and students from some African countries.
Finally, opposite the library, there is the convocation field. Next to the convocation field, there is the central canteen. This is a basic overview of SHUATS.
