I didn't choose, I was allotted this course based on my percentage. The faculty-student ratio is good because most of the students don't take classes. Qualification of faculties is good and they have experience and aptitude for teaching. Term exams were time bound but they were difficult to clear as question paper was medium but study material of Philosophy is not readily available and language is hard to grasp and the faculty awarded very low internals and marking was not lenient.
Read Full ReviewI chose B.Com (H) out of convenience because I was pursuing CA and the syllabus of CA and B.Com (H) were similar to some extent. An acceptable number of faculties were available for our course. The college always made sure that no classes were canceled due to a lack of staff. All the teachers teaching are more than qualified and had a distinct teaching method. The only issue is that the majority of the staff teach half in English and the other half in Hindi, and Hindi not being my first language makes it hard to follow sometimes.
Read Full ReviewBeing from a commerce background and doing CMA Simultaneously, bcom hons is the course which is going to complement my CMA as well. The faculty at Hansraj College is amazing they are no doubt the best teachers. The faculties are well qualified and passionate about teaching. Teachers mainly emphasise two-way communication and try to make the class more participative and interactive. As our batch was affected by covid our classes started late during November and our first-semester exam was in March also, the schedule for the second semester is out and it is going to be held in July. The first-semester exam was at a moderate level and questions ranges from easy to moderate however, the invigilation part was very strict and as the results are not out yet I can't tell you about the evaluation process
Read Full ReviewPhilosophy as a discipline offers a unique way to enhance your understanding and outlook towards the world. It opens up our minds and transforms us into thinking being. Thus, I opted for the course. The faculty is quite experienced and very humble. The ratio of faculty to students is optimum as Philosophy Honours is a relatively newer course at Hansraj College. The curriculum too is well designed, though some absurdities do exist. Examinations do not have a very heavy bearing as the number of papers is at a maximum of 5, thus giving ample time throughout the semester to prepare and develop a good understanding of the subject
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is the same for all the DU colleges at my college. It is decided by the university body itself so yeah it is easy and every student who is doing graduation can do this. Faculty students ratio is 10: 6 Qualifications of faculty members vary from professor to professor only 2 teachers are professors post in our botany department rest of them are associate professors or assistant professors. They all have done graduation, post-graduation, PhD and some of them also have taught in foreign universities as well. All of them are well-educated and experienced teachers. We all students just love the way they teach. Term exams are held in every 4-5 months in the college itself and done by the university of Delhi and they are very easy to pass because they are made easy to Crack.
