Eligibility- Maths, one subject of B1 and B2 each, and language There is something called CSAS for DU for which the website is different and this slot opens when CUET is over and the result is being declared, but about CUET, I used to visit NTA websites also YouTube helped me out. It's an online test and my test computer hung for 10 minutes wasting my precious time and no extra time was given. So either be smart to fill in easy subjects first or NTA should provide extra time for such PCs.

One of my friends is from Miranda House, So I am telling you my opinion, particularly What I observed about Miranda and its students.

  • Miranda's students are intelligent, and the popular perception is that they are feminists.
  • When it comes to female equality and other gender-sensitive issues, they are always vocal.
  • To give you an idea, I believe the mood in Miranda represents liberation.
  • Girls here do not tend to wallow in self-pity. Instead, they hone their extracurricular skills by participating in a variety of activities, theaters, and cultural events.
  • The students here are really open-minded and equally hard working.

Unlike the IITs, which are almost entirely male-dominated, Miranda’s students portray class and dignity.

Initially, girls don’t feel good studying in an all-girls college especially the ones who have previously studied in a girls school but then after some time, they get an idea of how good the college is.

Miranda College itself is such an opportunity to speak up, putting the opinions forward, and deal with the situation.

The hostel life is amazing. People would go on the terrace and enjoy their hostel life. There are many incidents such as pouring cold water on someone who is getting ready or making Maggi using emulsion rods in plastic buckets. There used to be a rush entering into the hostel seconds before the curfew time.

The faculty at Miranda college is best, friendly, and interactive. They will guide a student whenever required and will be a helping hand in difficult times. There were girls every time in the hostel be it day or night. No one can feel lonely there.

It's a good college and there are many things one can learn there. So, all the best for your future.

Among these institutes, Hindu College is better. Only SRCC, Stephens, and LSR can be considered in the same league as Hindu. It has a good reputation among recruiters. The placement cell is active and invites many companies to the placement drive. According to the recent placement statistics, the average CTC offered to the students is INR 8.4 LPA.

Hansraj is also a decent option. National Social Service and other clubs are quite active. Miranda House is on the same level as Hansraj in terms of studies. It is more preferred among students since it is situated right next to the metro station.

Both Miranda House and LSR are reputed colleges of DU, and have made significant contributions to women’s education in the country. You should choose one of these two colleges, based on the course of your choice. Miranda House is known for its science courses and LSR is the best college for arts.

MH and LSR offer unique campus life. If you want to experience the much-talked-about DU campus life, choose MH. You can gate-crash into fests and events of other colleges of DU. LSR is more posh, infrastructure-wise, and offers an enviable campus experience.

If one believes there is intense competition for admission to Miranda, then one is in for a rude awakening after admission. Because admission cut-offs are typically around 90%+, everyone in your batch is as good as you, if not better.

  • The faculty is incredibly inspiring.
  • Almost every batch has a few students pursuing a Ph.D. from top world universities such as LSE, Harvard, and others.
  • The academic pressure is low, which gives more time to focus on extracurriculars.
  • The curriculum might feel a little repetitive. The teachers mainly focus on theoretical learning.
  • It has the best infrastructure after SRCC. The hostels have been upgraded, with hygienic eateries.
  • The culture is very liberal. They have a ragging-free institution.

Overall it's an amazing college with more amazing people. You will not regret being a part of Miranda House. From the faculty to the staff members and also your fellow classmates are very cooperative and helpful.

Yes, Miranda House is a girls' college affiliated with the University of Delhi. It is located on the North Campus. It provides courses in a variety of disciplines. However, admission to this college is only available to females.

However, what if you are a male student and want to study at Delhi University, There are numerous co-educational colleges on both the north and south campuses, as well as numerous off-campus colleges, from which you can choose depending on the courses you wish to pursue.

You can check for more details on the official website of Delhi University.

Colleges like Hansraj, Hindu, LSR, SRCC are not better than the Miranda House in terms of rankings because they have not participated in any rankings. It is so because the NAAC ratings of these colleges are very poor when compared to Miranda House.

Talking about SRCC, it's one of the best colleges in all aspects including administration, infrastructure, fests, academics but it lacks in finding the best performers for the all-rounder field. The college has two specialized courses - B.Com. (Hons.) and B.A.(Hons.) Economics, and is the best when it comes to bringing the sponsors or for the best courses.

The most underrated among these is the Miranda House and is best in the aura and environment and offers many courses, faculty, infrastructure, facilities have diverse cultures, talents, and is one of the oldest institutes. Its best department is liberal arts. It deserves to be at the top and is therefore at the top.

Miranda House is one of the best colleges of Delhi University. And It's very difficult to choose just one thing, as it is quite good in every aspect.

  • Faculty: They have an amazing faculty with well-experienced professors.
  • Food: There are four canteens in Miranda House, including Nescafé and PAM, making it ideal for foodies.
  • Infrastructure: The campus is well maintained and modern in its style, especially the red corridors.
  • Location: The college is located near the Vishwavidyalaya metro station. This makes transportation easier for students in Delhi.
  • Opportunities for employment: Many reputed firms visit here, and place students in reputed companies and IT firms.
Categories Miranda House
Course Fee INR 42,480
Highest CTC 16-18 LPA
Average CTC 5-6 LPA
Recruiting Companies Amul, Hindustan Unilever, TCS, HP, etc.

Overall it's an amazing Institute one can think of. The best thing about MH is unquestionably its conducive environment. However, it's not easy to get into this college as cutoffs are always high. And with this, it is also a girls' college, so if you are from co-ed Schooling, it can be difficult for you to adjust in the starting but later on, you'll be good.

Among these three, you need to choose between Lady Shree Ram and Miranda as both of them are good colleges. LSR is better than all because of the various factors including the environment, peer groups, events, and many other things.

If you are not a native resident of NCR and there’s a choice between no hostel LSR or the Miranda House with the hostel, then you can opt for the latter as you will get to enjoy and experience the hostel life. If you are unable to get a hostel anywhere then opt for LSR anyway.
