Reason to choose this course: 1. Emerging needs in different sectors 2. Will get to know about so many things including coding, etc. Faculty-student ratio: The ratio was quite good like 9/60. Qualification of the faculty: faculty of Delhi University is high. Teaching method: I personally used to love the teaching method, they use to make us updated with new software, and newly introduced technologies and used to relate with the curriculum. Term exams were easy and used to be organized on time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course due to my keen interest in the science stream. This course provides overall knowledge of science rather than focusing on a single subject. The faculty is outstanding and a very good amount of ratio is available for them. The strength of students in this course is medium in number like the maximum seat is 45-50. so studying in this environment is very nice. the faculty is very qualified and trained, they had done M.Phil, P.hd and a lot of research. the examination held here is semester-wise, that is on every 5-6 months and 2 times in a year. Professors teach very well so it's easy to pass the examination.

I chose B.Com Hons because I chose commerce stream after my 10th standard. I was always inclined towards accounts as a subject, and B.Com hons provided accounts as a major subject. The course curriculum is very sorted and understandable. I believe all of this will definitely play a huge role in the career we choose further. The faculty members are also great, they put in a lot of effort.

Kirori Mal College - [KMC]: 30 answered questions

Ques
Which is better for a B.A. hons in economics Ramjas College or Kirori Mal College?

● Top Answer By Aditya Shukla on 18 Oct 21

Ans
Most DU institutions are on a similar footing. But Ramjas is regarded to be superior in most areas. Apart from similar academics to KMC, Ramjas College has one of the best cultural events. Its focus is on the holistic development of students. With time, the value of these colleges is diminishing as cut-offs are getting competitive, and the quality of students is spreading more evenly. However, Ramjas is the best if you want to challenge yourself.

Ques
What do you like and dislike about Kirori Mal College?

● Top Answer By Dolan Gupta on 18 Oct 21

Ans
One of my friends graduated from this college, and her experience was utopian. Here are some of the things that she mentioned about the institute.  The crowd is incredible. It is competitive and brilliant. The majority of the students get placed in a reputed organization based on their extraordinary skills. The societies are the best part to explore your strengths and interest areas. You can get involved in NCC, NSS, Enactus, music, writing, drama, and sports. The institute has a strong alumni base. It has produced various industry leaders. Most of them are renowned in Bollywood, Art, Business, or even Politics. There are trained teachers with years of experience. They will prepare you for exams but also the hurdles of life. The heritage is enhanced by its gorgeous campus, famous academic building, serene Ashoka lawn, massive sports area, international class gymnasium, and a massive library. Under the Delhi University, the KMC is one of the most active colleges, be it a renaissance cultural festival, society events, or intellectual sessions organized by various departments. A few of the things that bothered my friend were the non-cooperative administration, the college timing, and the politically engaged crowd.

Ques
Which college is the best for a BCom (H), Venky, Kirori Mal or Ramjas?

● Top Answer By Chandrali Guha on 28 Jan 22

Ans
For a BCom (H), Venky will be a better option. It has a better faculty base. The student crowd is also engaging. Kirori Mal is a decent college but it is more reputed for its science subjects. While Ramjas is more well-known for its Arts courses. For B.Com, Venky is the best among these institutes.

Ques
I have taken an admission at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College for an Economics (Hons). Further, if I get KMC or Ramjas, should I give up SBSC for any of these north campus colleges?

● Top Answer By Hindol Gupta on 28 Jan 22

Ans
Choose KMC or Ramjas college over SBSC because these are better options. When it comes to academics KMC and Ramjas are definitely better than SBSC. There are reasons why the required cutoff for these colleges is more than SBSC. KMC and Ramjas also have better rankings. Many times these colleges were featured among the top 10 colleges in India. Also, if you want to pursue higher studies like M.A in Economics from DSE, then being from DSE will help. As the student crowd is more competitive at the north campus.

Ques
Among Hindu, Hansraj, Ramjas and Kirori Mal, which college is best for doing a B.Sc (Maths)?

● Top Answer By Sahil Mishra on 28 Jan 22

Ans
Wait for the cutoff lists to get released. If you clear the cutoff for each of these colleges, then your preference order should be as follows. Hindu>Kirori Mal>Hansraj>Ramjas The required cutoff for North campus colleges is usually higher than the south campus colleges. You can choose the college based on your cutoff.

Ques
What is Kirori Mal College like for girls?

● Top Answer By Shubhi Chauhan on 30 Sept 21

Ans
It is one of the best colleges of Delhi University. Apparently, there isn't a hostel for girls, except that it's the same for both boys and girls. You'll find fewer girls in Physics, Math, and other fields. But, it is the best among a lot of other DU colleges.  KMC is a co-ed DU college that benefits from its location in the heart of the north campus.  The environment at KMC is ragging-free, like all DU colleges.  The seniors are really nice, humble, and always willing to help, however, a few people may have different ideas. Everything is wonderful, from academics to the availability of necessary facilities. Except for the lack of a girls' hostel. Otherwise, it's a fantastic college for both boys and girls.

Ques
Is the crowd at Kirori Mal College good?

● Top Answer By Sia Majumder, on 21 Oct 21

Ans
One of my friends studied at Kirori Mal College (KMC). According to him, they have a really diverse crowd. Students from all backgrounds study here. Students here are dedicated to their studies and also enthusiastic about participating in clubs and societies, so you will see how beautifully they balance both of these.  If you want to explore the college whether it is Politics, extracurricular activities, or studies, you should join any of the societies in KMC. The crowd overall is fine. There are very few chances of ragging and all the credits for this go to elections of the student union.  KMC is best for your overall development, participating in societies and politics it will help explore the leader in you.

Ques
Which is better, Kirori Mal College or Hansraj College?

● Top Answer By Ritesh Gupta, on 21 Oct 21

Ans
According to the reviews online, both Kirori Mal and Hansraj are best in their own unique way. Here are some facts about them you should know. Kirori Mal is a fully funded Government college, whereas Hansraj is a Semi-Government college. The only difference you can see is the approach of the departments. Like if you prefer economics opt for Hansraj and if Physics is your choice go for Kirori Mal. Also, Kirori Mal is more affordable than Hansraj College. The infrastructure of Hansraj is better than Kirori Mal, but it is continuously developing. If you are interested in NCC or want to join basketball, then go for Kirori Mal College, since they are the best in the whole Delhi University. If you are looking to have fun in college, interact with more people and build your personality, then Kirori Mal is the better option.  There are many clubs and societies you can take part in. Choose the college after carefully considering every factor like faculty, alumni, placements, etc.

Ques
Which college is the best for a B.Sc(honours) in mathematics, Ramjas College or Kirori Mal College?

● Top Answer By Shashank Roy on 08 Nov 21

Ans
Both Ramjas College and Kirori Mal College are quite reputed colleges. There are no such parameters to differentiate between these two. Both of these two institutes have good faculty bases. You will also get decent facilities to learn at these colleges.  The only significant factor that can be mentioned is that Kirori Mal has a NAAC A+ accreditation with a better grade as compared to Ramjas. However, it’s not wise to compare these two institutes based on grade. You will have decent opportunities at both. So, you can opt for any of these two based on your convenience.
