Remarks:

My admission was based on the percentage achieved in the 12th board. Application forms and fee details are available on the DU website. Cut-off depends and varies as per course and category. I am from OBC non-creamy layer therefore I received the Constitutional benefit of the quota. I wish our admission could have been on an entrance basis but it was based on percentage but now CUET provides a fair and level playing field to every candidate.

It was a one-time thing but at the time of my admission, our college had admissions and it was fine when it was online but during offline classes, it was a pain due to the insufficiency of seats in classrooms. It was corrected by the next batch of students but I hope nothing similar happens in the future.

Remarks:

Eligibility of the course depends upon how much percentage is yours and if it matches with the cut-off of the college for that particular course you applied for. Admission process is a lengthy process which consists of selecting the college you want only if your percentage is matching with the cut-off per cent. Application forms for admission are made available on the DU website and you can get all the information regarding application forms, cut-off lists etc on the DU website. Reservation benefits help in getting admission easily for the OBC, EWS, SC, and ST candidates in the college at a lower cut-off than the general category. Everything is up to the mark related to the admission process there is no kind of delay or problem in it. The only thing is that sometimes the site gets crashes because of too many students using the website at the same time but it's a minor problem, not a big deal.

Hansraj College - [HRC]: 27 answered questions

Ques
Which is a better college Hindu/Hansraj/Ramjas/Miranda House as a whole?

● Top Answer By Anita Roy on 28 Jan 22

Ans
Among these institutes, Hindu College is better. Only SRCC, Stephens, and LSR can be considered in the same league as Hindu. It has a good reputation among recruiters. The placement cell is active and invites many companies to the placement drive. According to the recent placement statistics, the average CTC offered to the students is INR 8.4 LPA.  Hansraj is also a decent option. National Social Service and other clubs are quite active. Miranda House is on the same level as Hansraj in terms of studies. It is more preferred among students since it is situated right next to the metro station.

Ques
What is your review of Hansraj College University of Delhi?

● Top Answer By Shaan Kapoor on 01 Oct 21

Ans
One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question. Here are some of the best things about the institute.  This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.  The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges. It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long. Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.  Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC. There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.  The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel. North Campus has the best college location. You will not regret choosing the institute.

Ques
Which one should I choose after 12th: IIM Indore IPM or Hansraj College, Delhi University?

● Top Answer By Mohan Joshi on 25 Aug 21

Ans
IPM is a complex and challenging course. It is an amalgamation of various subjects such as Maths, Economics, Sociology, etc. The workload will be immense. You will have to work hard to keep up with the coursework. But you will learn to look at things from multiple perspectives.  IPM at IIM Indore also has a good placement record. In the placement drive that was conducted in 2021 virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a placement percentage of 100% has been recorded. The average package offered to the students was INR 23.60 LPA which is higher than the package offered in 2020. In addition to these, the average package offered to the top 100 students was INR 33 LPA. The highest domestic salary offered was INR 41.50 LPA and the international salary was INR 56.80 LPA. DU offers some leniency. You can miss a couple of classes and will be able to self-study. In the case of Hansraj College, the percentage of placement was 70% in their recent placement drive. The highest package recorded was 20.5 LPA and the average package was INR 5.7 LPA. The top companies were Boston Consulting Group, United Airlines, DE Shaw, etc. If you want a more relaxed college experience, then go for Hansraj College. Otherwise, IPM will be better.

Everyone aspires to attend a college that has no uniforms, few classes, no hassles, and plenty of buddies with anyone you can hang around. Hansraj has a touch of that liveliness. Here are a few of the things that make Hansraj such a unique choice.  DU tag.  North Campus has a lovely atmosphere. Lover's Point Cafeteria (LP). Kamla Nagar Market is one of the largest markets in the area. In three years, you can explore a large number of societies. Appropriate quantity of classes to allow time for the rest of your responsibilities. Excellent teachers who are constantly there to guide and support you. The best individuals are everywhere around you; you just need to locate those who are compatible with you. I have plenty of friends from Hansraj and they had great experiences at the institute.

Will I be placed with a good package if I graduate from Hansraj College Delhi University in Computer Sci H?

● Top Answer By Devanshi Nath on 01 Oct 21

Ans
Hansraj College offers B.Sc. (H) Computer Science program. It records an aggregate of 70% as a placement percentage. After graduating from HRC with a CS degree, there are bleak chances of getting an excellent placement.  Most of the things are dependent on your hard work and skillset in terms of looking for job opportunities. No college can guarantee you 100% placement. Tabulated below are the recent placement statistics at the college:  Average CTC INR 5.7 LPA Highest CTC INR 20.5 LPA Placement Percentage 70% Overall, it is better to opt for higher education and then get placed at a lucrative package.

Ques
Do you think that it is possible for me to get into Hansraj college DU with 94 best of four in CBSE boards and no quota?

● Top Answer By Tara Desai, on 30 Oct 21

Ans
You may only get a BA program in the 3rd-5th cutoff. If you are interested, then Hindi or Sanskrit Honours is also an option. If you are looking to do B.Com.(Hons), Economics (Hons), Political Science (Hons), Geography (Hons) then probably no, you need at least 97–97.5%. It is advised that you choose a course over college. It is much more important to do what you want to do than where you do it from.

Among Hindu, Hansraj, Ramjas and Kirori Mal, which college is best for doing a B.Sc (Maths)?

● Top Answer By Sahil Mishra on 28 Jan 22

Ans
Wait for the cutoff lists to get released. If you clear the cutoff for each of these colleges, then your preference order should be as follows. Hindu>Kirori Mal>Hansraj>Ramjas The required cutoff for North campus colleges is usually higher than the south campus colleges. You can choose the college based on your cutoff.
