To sit for the examination you have to be in 12th class or 12th cleared, then you can fill up the form in September month for the 1st JEE Mains and followed by 2 more chances to clear this JEE Mains in the same year or next year January or march, after clearing this you'll eligible for JEE Advanced than in April you have to fill the form for JEE Advanced and in May or June, you have to appear in the EXAM. On clearing JEE ADVANCED WITH GOOD RANK (0-4000), then only you'll get a good branch/department in this institute otherwise choose other IITs or other lower branches. You'll also be benefited from caste reservation and gender reservation for women. And admission process is so smooth, you'll get a mentor from DAY 1 of your college, even from entry into college.

The course (B. Tech. in Civil Eng.) takes entry only through JEE Advanced paper. Students after 12th (either just after 12th class or after a drop year) give JEE Main, and if they qualify in this, they can sit for JEE Advanced, a merit is formed based on their performance and the branch and seats are filled as per the merit/rank list of JEE Advanced. The details for reservation benefits are clearly mentioned on govt. portals (NTA website), and you can refer there for any further details, which should be available easily. There is only one way you can make your way to IITs in B.Tech program and that is through JEE. First, you have to give and clear JEE Mains and after that, you have to sit for JEE advanced and then after clearing it, you will get your college and branch according to your rank and preferences. Physics, chemistry and Maths of 11th and 12th are asked in JEE. You will easily find JEE mains form on the NTA website and the Advanced form on www.jeeadvanced.in website. Coming to the reservation, you can avail it as per the rules like there are some seats reserved for OBC and SC/ST students.

You need to clear JEE Mains and JEE Advanced first. Rank in JEE Advanced should be under 1100 to get BTech. Mechanical for General Category. Reservations for females and other categories like SC, ST, OBC etc. are available and cutoffs of the same can be viewed on NTA's official website. You can also change your Branch from any other UG course in the same Institute to this by clearing the CPI cutoff which is nearly 8.7-8.8

I gave two exams, JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED. You have to be among 1500 students overall in India to secure a seat at IIT Bombay. I was 533 in OBC so I got B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay. JEE exams are after the 12th boards and forms come around August month. The admission process is governed by JOSAA. Two years of proper hard work is at least required to get admission here. Practice previous year's papers to improve the score in JEE exams.

Two exams need to be cleared to get admission to IIT Bombay subject to cutoff ranks for different branches - JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. All the 12th boards appearing students are eligible to write JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Also, students who passed the 12th board a year before appearing in the exam are eligible to write both exams. If a candidate clears JEE Mains, then only he/she/they will be allowed to write JEE Advanced. The application form is released at the official websites of JEE Mains and Advanced. There are reserved seats for female students as well as students from PwD, SC/ST, OBC-NCL, and Gen-EWS category, and detailed cutoffs for each sub-category is released by the IITs on the official JEE Advanced website.

For admission, a student should have at least 75% on board in class 12. The JEE exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and all the information gets available on their official website i.e. nta.ac.in, the application fee is around 1000 INR. the exam is conducted 2-3 times, and the best score of the candidate is used for evaluation and you have to enroll for each session separately, the first session exam is conducted in January-February month. There are two phases of the entrance exam first you have to clear jee main and then you will be allowed to sit for jee advance. some seats are reserved for OBC and SC/ST candidates hence the IIT cut-off criteria are significantly low for reservation candidates. the admission process is fair and good.

Admission exam - JEE Mains + JEE Advanced First, you have to give JEE Mains conducted by NTA and you have to score more than 15% to be eligible for the JEE Advanced ( there would be individual subjects cut off too which may vary yearly) Then you have to give JEE Advanced conducted by IITs The application form will be available on the NTA website for JEE Mains and for JEE Advanced the IIT which is conducting it that year will have a website and you can apply there There are a certain number of seats given to reservations based on the institute capacity you can check those on the JoSAA website during your counselling time Improvement in the admission process - I would prefer students to take decisions carefully about the department they are going to select, rather than following the herd mentality and choosing CSE over others they should thoroughly research and make a decision
