Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this because I am interested in chemistry. The faculty student ratio is much higher compared to other colleges in India, which is good and needed, and which makes IITs the best. The professors of IIT Hyderabad are well qualified- they should have done atleast one PhD in a well-established institute and should have had years of training and teaching experience. They are highly knowledgeble very good in teaching, and encourage students in learning and pursuing their interests. We have fractal academic systems, so exams are kept at regualr intervals to avoid last minute pressure and burden on students. The exams are not so tough if the students study well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Based on my rank, this was the best I was getting. Also, my brother is a Civil Engineer, so he guides me wherever possible. The student: faculty ratio is 55:4. Most of the faculty members are PhDs from foreign universities and few are from Indian universities too. Their teaching style is quite good and is mostly based on a practical basis. So, the exams are moderately difficult and it mainly depends on the professor. So, there are mid-sem exams and end-sem exams. There are surprise quizzes too.

I choose Engineering Science, the course is different from other courses, in this course, we have our own choice to choose the course we want and are interested in. The faculty is quite good and every student gets faculty to clear their doubts. The faculty is of PhD qualifications. We have exams every 2 months and are of JEE level and difficult.

My course is Engineering Sciences and I like this course because we have the option to take specialisation in the desired branch you want but you will have to have a proper CGPA by then. So I thought to take a chance. The faculty-to-student ratio is quite sufficient because there are almost 200+ faculties here. They teach well. It is not that difficult to pass the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is the second best chemical engineering course in IITs after IIT Bombay. That's why I chose this course. We have a 1:2 faculty to student ratio. It's quite good actually. All the faculties are post graduate or PhD holders. The exams were like 2-3 in a semester per subject. So it was not that hectic because IIT Hyderabad has segment divisons in semester so we have exams at different times for different subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because I want to serve myself as a software engineer in big IT companies and this course is best for it as well as this college provides good placements to students. The student-faculty ratio is quite balanced, there are approx. 2-3 teachers for each subject. IIT HYDERABAD'S faculty is very intelligent and smart, as all IIT colleges have good faculty. The teaching method is outstanding. They clear all the difficult concepts of physics and mathematics very easily. If I talk about the qualification, then all the teachers are Ph.D. holders in this IIT college. The exams are held twice in 5 months. The first exam taken by this college is the midterm exam and the second one is the semester exam which is the main exam, as the course is difficult so sometimes it becomes difficult for us to pass, more and more study is required to pass the exams of this college.

Ques
Which is better, Data Science M.Tech from IIT Hyderabad, or Big Data Analytics Certification from IIM Bangalore?

● Top Answer By Shruti Agarwal on 19 Sept 22

Ans
It all depends on your interest and future goals. If you want a career in the technical field, choose Data Science M.Tech from IIT Hyderabad. If you want to work in the management sector then doing Big Data Analytics certification from IIM Bangalore will be better. If you are interested in Big Data and want a technical career in the field, look for a technical institute. IIMs will not offer hands-on technical training in the field, it will rather cover the managerial aspect of it.

Ques
Is CSE at IIT Hyderabad better, or is ECE at Roorkee?

● Top Answer By Aditi Banerjee on 14 Apr 23

Ans
Out of all the institutes you mentioned, IIIT Hyderabad steals the limelight owing to its excellent CS branch. Here are a few reasons why I consider IIIT Hyderabad better than IIT Roorkee, BITS Pilani, and IIT BHU. Located in the IT hub of India, IIIT Hyderabad attracts all the IT giants of the country  It gives an edge to older IITs because of its prime location and close ties with the industry Excellent exposure is provided to the students at IIIT Hyderabad in the form of hackathons, workshops, seminars, and much more.  Students benefit a lot from the frequent collaborations of IIT H with IIIT H. IIT Hyderabad has a unique Fractal Academic System, and its curriculum is improvised to suit industry requirements and research trends.  IIIT Hyderabad students are taught subjects related to their domain right from the first year, unlike IITs that teach common fundamental courses in the first year. Regular evaluations keep your academic performance in check  Additionally, what may be the "best" institution for one person may not be the best for another. So it’s better to follow where your heart goes.

Ques
Which is best: a CSE in BTech colleges, IIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani or new IITs?

● Top Answer By Tanmay Gupta on 29 Oct 20

Ans
NIRF has ranked IIT Hyderabad at 8 for Engineering. BITS Pilani has been ranked 30 by NIRF 2020. A BTech in CSE is one of the most demanded courses in the industry. IIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, and new IITs all provide the course with an edge. But some factors discussed below will help us to analyze whether to choose IIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, or new IITs. IIT Hyderabad is one of the oldest colleges in India. It makes an incredibly competitive place, the level and quality of competition is much higher. The overall quality crowd is seen in III Hyderabad and BITS Pilani. BITS ensures a no attendance policy that helps students to pay attention to their startups. IITs do not have such a policy but the old IITs do give some relaxation. The students of BITS are certain of internship at the end of the second and fourth years as the opportunities are extremely high. IIT Hyderabad and new IITs also have internships but there is no certainty. Here are some of the key information about these institutes. Particulars IIT Hyderabad BITS Pilani New IITs (Tirupati) Entrance exam JEE Advanced BITSAT JEE Advanced Closing cutoff 616 383 3551 Grand total fees 8.7 lacs 15.7 lacs 3 lacs Highest placement offer 60 LPA 44 LPA 25 LPA Average placement offer 22 LPA 15 LPA 9.5 LPA Placements: IIT Hyderabad: 66 students from the computer science engineering department from IIT Hyderabad have been placed with an offer. The maximum number of students hired was from the CSE batch. The hiring companies were Adobe, Amazon, Microsoft, Airtel, Nvidia, Qualcomm. BITS Pilani: 82% of students were placed with an offer at BITS Pilani in the engineering field. 100% of students were placed in the CSE branch. The highest average placement was under the discipline of BTech in CSE of the amount 22 LPA. The top recruiters were Barclays, IBM, Facebook, Capgemini, Aditya Birla Corp, etc. IIT Tirupati: Various new IITs have been opened. One of them is IIT Tirupati. A maximum placement was observed in the CSE branch. The average package in CSE was 12 LPA. The recruitment companies were Bosch, TCS, Fincare, Honeywell, etc. All of the mentioned institutions are good, however, the decision rests upon the students and their preferences. BITS Pilani might have a huge grand total fee comparatively but the quality and opportunity are tremendous. IIT Hyderabad being an old Institute attracts the crowd. New IITs need to work harder to come at that level.
