I chose this because I am interested in chemistry. The faculty student ratio is much higher compared to other colleges in India, which is good and needed, and which makes IITs the best. The professors of IIT Hyderabad are well qualified- they should have done atleast one PhD in a well-established institute and should have had years of training and teaching experience. They are highly knowledgeble very good in teaching, and encourage students in learning and pursuing their interests. We have fractal academic systems, so exams are kept at regualr intervals to avoid last minute pressure and burden on students. The exams are not so tough if the students study well.
Read Full ReviewBased on my rank, this was the best I was getting. Also, my brother is a Civil Engineer, so he guides me wherever possible. The student: faculty ratio is 55:4. Most of the faculty members are PhDs from foreign universities and few are from Indian universities too. Their teaching style is quite good and is mostly based on a practical basis. So, the exams are moderately difficult and it mainly depends on the professor. So, there are mid-sem exams and end-sem exams. There are surprise quizzes too.
Read Full ReviewI choose Engineering Science, the course is different from other courses, in this course, we have our own choice to choose the course we want and are interested in. The faculty is quite good and every student gets faculty to clear their doubts. The faculty is of PhD qualifications. We have exams every 2 months and are of JEE level and difficult.
Read Full ReviewMy course is Engineering Sciences and I like this course because we have the option to take specialisation in the desired branch you want but you will have to have a proper CGPA by then. So I thought to take a chance. The faculty-to-student ratio is quite sufficient because there are almost 200+ faculties here. They teach well. It is not that difficult to pass the exams.
Read Full ReviewOur semester is divided into three segments and every course has its own weightage in terms of credit. We have 1,2,3 credit For 3 credit course, we have three exams in a semester. For 2 credit course, we have 2 exams in a semester and for 1 credit course, we have 1 exam in a semester. The difficulty level of the exam is decided by the professors most exams are moderately difficult
Read Full ReviewThis course is the second best chemical engineering course in IITs after IIT Bombay. That's why I chose this course. We have a 1:2 faculty to student ratio. It's quite good actually. All the faculties are post graduate or PhD holders. The exams were like 2-3 in a semester per subject. So it was not that hectic because IIT Hyderabad has segment divisons in semester so we have exams at different times for different subjects.
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is mostly physics-oriented. It goes into depth about physical processes and how we view the world, I chose this course because I love physics, the faculty-student ratio is 1: 5, all faculty are Ph.D. and every faculty has his/her preferred method. Exams are very timely and not at all hard to pass.
Read Full ReviewI choose cse as it is my passion, In iith 1:14 is the ratio of faculty to students, The faculty is of high qualification here and their teaching methods are really good.IIT Hyderabad has continuous evaluation means we have exams all over the sem some exams are moderate and some are easy but some exams are hard.
Read Full ReviewI have chosen this course because I want to serve myself as a software engineer in big IT companies and this course is best for it as well as this college provides good placements to students. The student-faculty ratio is quite balanced, there are approx. 2-3 teachers for each subject. IIT HYDERABAD'S faculty is very intelligent and smart, as all IIT colleges have good faculty. The teaching method is outstanding. They clear all the difficult concepts of physics and mathematics very easily. If I talk about the qualification, then all the teachers are Ph.D. holders in this IIT college. The exams are held twice in 5 months. The first exam taken by this college is the midterm exam and the second one is the semester exam which is the main exam, as the course is difficult so sometimes it becomes difficult for us to pass, more and more study is required to pass the exams of this college.
