IIT Hyderabad B.Des Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des program at IIT Hyderabad are required to have completed their 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board of education.
Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA in their 10+2.

IIT Hyderabad B.Des Admission Criteria

Admission to the B.Des program at IIT Hyderabad is based on the merit lists prepared by the institute on the basis of scores of the UCEED 2021 entrance examination. IIT Hyderabad B.Des Course Details

The entire course work of the Bachelor of Design Program is structured into the 8 semesters which consists of course work from 1st sem to 7th sem and industrial training in the 8th sem of the B.Des program.
The course work of the B.Des program consists of several core courses, program electives, projects, lab work, LA/CA, etc.
Each theory course consists of a minimum of 2-3 credits, while each elective consists of 1-2 credits.
The final project or industrial training consists of a minimum of 12 credits in the 8th semester.
The evaluation system of all the courses in the B.Des program curriculum is based on the performance in internal and external assessments, viva voce, mid-term examinations, and end-term examinations.
