I chose this course because I have a lot of interest in it. all faculty qualifications are Ph.D. teaching methods are very nice. the term exams are difficult here. by studying hard we can easily pass.
Read Full ReviewThe academics in IIT BHU is pretty chill, professors are liberal in terms of attendance right from the first year itself, the liberty that you get here allows you to explore what you like and your field of interests, it allows you to get ample of time for coding which was one of the important reasons why I chose IIT BHU. The faculty members are extremely qualified and most of them are very humble and ready to help you anytime.
Read Full ReviewI chose it because this course has a good scope for the future and I am also a bit interested in this. and faculty is very good and interactive faculty-student ratio is also good for every subject where there is an associate professor, professors, and teaching assistants all teachers have PhD, and some of them also received awards. Exams there are mid,end exams for a sem, and labs with three included marks are alloted and exams were also a bit difficult.
Read Full ReviewI opted for electrical engineering because I thought it would have good opportunities in future. It is an evergreen branch. The faculty members are highly talented the way of teaching is very good. The term exams are a bit difficult to pass if we ignore studies completely
Read Full ReviewThe curriculum was good, there are very talented teachers available here. In this IIT, there is a better placement percentage in the CSE branch. So, I have chosen this branch among other available branches in other IITs. There are very friendly faculty here. They all graduated from other IITs, in their subjects. Their teaching method is very different from that of the teachers I've met in 11th and 12th classes. There were two semesters for each year, and each semester had a mid-semester exam, 1 month after the semester started and an end sem exam, 3 months after the sem started. Between each semester, there is a semester break of 1 month. Mid-exams were a bit easy, but end-semester exams were tough.
Read Full ReviewI chose computer science because I like coding and there are more opportunities for this course. Lecturers are sufficient but the student ratio is a bit high in my college. Faculty members are those who completed their Ph.D. and graduated from prestigious institutes. Their teaching is good. It is difficult to get a good CGPA in term exams. Sem and end sem exams will be held for one semester in our college.
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is excellent here. And the professors are very good I chose this course as it has a great average placement value. The term exams were not that hard to pass but were not at all easy
Read Full ReviewI have chosen this course based on the cutoff and I was amazed when I got to know that professor that IIT are not good at teaching so do not expect much and you will have your mid sem after 2months and after 2months of mid-sem you will have your end-sem
Read Full ReviewI have chosen this course on the basis of my rank (I don't have many personal preferences). There are professors for lectures and for tutorials, there are teacher assistants and boys: girls ratio is 1:4 . In the first year mainly after 2 months of admission you will have midsem and after 2 from midsem you will have endsem.
Read Full ReviewI chose the course because according to the marks, I got I had no option but to get a better course but by the way, at IITBHU the chemical department is the biggest department in the college even if it is bigger than the CSE department.

When deciding between IIT BHU and BITS Pilani, it's important to consider both colleges from different perspectives. Both institutions have their own strengths, and making a decision between the two can be challenging. Here are some important things to consider about each institution:
IIT BHU:
It is considered one of the top IITs after the top five IITs in India. It has a vast infrastructure and lab facilities because of its affiliation with Banaras Hindu University (BHU). It has a long history of excellence in education and has been around for longer than some of the other IITs. It has some of the best faculties among all the IITs. Most importantly, getting an IIT tag from IIT BHU can help you in many ways throughout your life, such as impressing people and carrying it to foreign colleges and companies.
BITS Pilani:
When it comes to placement and package, BITS Pilani is considered superior to IIT BHU. Its placements are often higher than even the top IITs. The hostel facilities available at BITS Pilani are unmatched by any IIT. Even recruiters do not make a distinction between IITs and BITS Pilani when it comes to reputation.
Here are some more reasons why IIT BHU could be the right choice for you:
Ultimately, the choice between IIT BHU and BITS Pilani will depend on your individual needs and goals. It is important to weigh the pros and cons of each institution and consider your future aspirations when making your decision.
There is no doubt that IIT BHU is one of the most renowned colleges in India and is comparable to the old IIT institutes. Here are some points mentioned that will prove why IIT BHU is a good IIT.
Therefore, the institution is not the worst.
The admissions in an M.Tech course at IIT BHU are completely based on your Gate score and there are no written tests conducted for M.Tech admissions.
If you get shortlisted for an MTech program at IIT BHU, there are three possibilities depending upon your branch.
If you are shortlisted, you have to be present at the campus with the required documents. Which are as follows.
When you are through with the selection process, i.e. written examination, interview, counseling, they will update a final list. In case of direct admission, you will get to know if you get a seat or not on the spot. After that, the formalities for admission will begin.
My brother attended IIT BHU. According to him, the most famous successful alumni of IIT BHU is P.M. Ajayan who pursued B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering in the year 1985.
He is a Guinness World Record holder scientist and is currently working as a professor at Rice University Houston Texas USA in the Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Department.
Before Rice University, he was the director of the NYSTAR interconnect focus center atRensselaer Polytechnic Institute till the year 2007 and was also the Henry Burlage Professor of Material Sciences and Engineering.
One of my friends studied at IIT BHU, he used to avail hostel facilities. According to him, the hostels were overall good but had one complaint with the allotment of students. Most of the students there preferred 2 students sharing one room rather than 3.
Here’s mentioning some points about the hostels.
Overall, the hostels here are very well maintained, the new hostels are better than the older ones but are comparatively smaller. To promote clean energy, solar panels are installed on the roof of each hostel.
All of these are very good IITs and all of them will give the IIT tag and the exposure you need, but I would recommend you to go for IIT BHU electrical over IIT Jodhpur or Ropar CSE.
IIT BHU Electrical is definitely the better choice because of the above reasons.
The choice of the branch is always yours to make. People can advise you on the same but to make the best decision you will have to determine your area of interest and look up the fields you are choosing from. It’s a very crucial decision and needs to be taken after much thought.
IIT Roorkee Civil Engineering
IIT BHU Mechanical Engineering
Ultimately, the choice of the branch and institute both are matters of personal preference and should be given due consideration.
