IIT BHU M.Tech Admission 2023
At the postgraduate level, IIT BHU is M.Tech. It is offered in 40 different specializations. The IIT BHU M.Tech admission is based on merit and GATE score followed by a written test or interview. To participate in the IIT BHU seat allocation process, candidates have to register for the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Only COAP-registered candidates can participate in IIT BHU admission in M.Tech.
IIT BHU MTech Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for IIT BHU M.Tech admission candidates must have a B.Tech degree in relevant specialization. Minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.0 on 10 point scale should be scored in qualifying degree. For SC/ST candidates 55% marks or CGPA 5.0 is required.
Candidates who have done graduation from IIT itself and have CGPA above 8.0 do not require GATE score and will be offered IIT BHU admission on the basis of merit and interview only. For non-IIT graduates having a valid GATE score is a must.

IIT BHU offers a wide range of courses in engineering (B.tech,IDD,B.Arch) The admission is only the Jee Advanced exam .First a person applies for Jee mains and after clearing it , gives the Jee Advanced examination which is the window for entering any IIT. Eligibilty is just that the person should be in 12th appearing year or the year after passing 12th . So ,there are max of two attempts for Jee adv exam ,and the applying candidate should clear it and get a satisfactory rank as well to get admission into IIT BHU. Cutoff Closing rank as per 1st round is 426-858 for CSE and 17416-18173 for Architecture in open category Details about Jee Advanced ,application process, can easily be found from some reliable source or official website of any IIT. Yes there is criteria of reservation based on caste and gender as well . So those falling in some category can have their supporting docs ready for availing such benefits. Eligibility for civil engineering in iit bhu is around AIR 5000-6500 but for me, as I belong to the ST category it is 300-350. One of my friends studied at IIT BHU, he used to avail hostel facilities. According to him, the hostels were overall good but had one complaint with the allotment of students. Most of the students there preferred 2 students sharing one room rather than 3.

The Aryabhatta hostel is for freshers.
Every room has good ventilation.
The windows opening outside makes the room spacious.
Water coolers are present at every floor.
All rooms are equipped with 2 almirahs, 2 beds, 2 tables and 2 chairs.
Students can play badminton, tennis, etc. during their off time in the hostel premises.
The big hall at Aryabhatta hostel has 3 messes.
The mess staff are well organized as well.
Every furniture in the room is labelled with its respective room number to avoid misplacement.
Each floor has a common bathroom and toilet.
Wifi is also provided to the students.
Overall, the hostels here are very well maintained, the new hostels are better than the older ones but are comparatively smaller. To promote clean energy, solar panels are installed on the roof of each hostel.
