Remarks :

I am pursuing Btech in Mechanical engineering in IIT Bombay. It has GN opening JEE rank approx 1200 and closed at 1800 . For Me my category rank was 86 and I was able to took this department. You have to be bit active on internet to know about upcoming news and application dates. I paid 20k at JOSAA councelling. Then 20k more during admission. There is only benefit of reservation is that you get high department at low ranks also. But at the end it will harder for you to cop-up with others as they have much higher rank than you. Well JEE Advance is the toughest engeneering exam in inda so you have to study hard everyday to crack it. Well admission process is good at its place.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Here course curriculum is a bit complex. Like ijnfirst and second sem we have 33 credits . IIT Bombay providea huge number of courses means it has almost most of the important courses . Courses are formed and taught based on to use in real life. Well it will be good to make courses slightly flexible in attendance and other stuffs, Exams , quizzes. Etc.

Internships Opportunities :

IIT Bombay offers driver range of internship opportunities across various fields and industries scattering to students interest and career course internship are available with leading tech companies like Microsoft Google and Intel where rules includes software development hardware engineering student also research intercept with an it on the ones department contributing to cutting as projects and gaming experience for those interested in startup internship at it Bombay

Placement Experience :

Placement of IIT Bombay is very good . This is also one of the main reasons why everyone dream to take admission here. Students become eligible for placement in 4th year of College and they start getting Intern in the end of 2nd year . Mostly end 3rd year. Most of World top companions offered placement to my college students with highest of 4Cr. Package last year. Avg. Package is in between 30-35 LPA. 90 percent students get placement. I will be go for civil services.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am ST category so I have to pay approx 40000 per semester means approx 80k-85k per year . Tuition fees for ST students is 0 whereas it is approx 1L for other students . I paid 20k at the admission time . They charge about 20k per semester that include everything from hostel, classes, sports, library facilities except mess. For mess they charge approx 22k per sem. For SC and ST students tution fees is 0 other students have to pay full tution fees.

Campus Life :

IIT Bombay provide best college experience and life in india. We have MOOD INDIGO as Asia's largest Cultural fest and Techfest as Asia's largest science and technology fest and many more. Every book you need is present in library with almost every edition. In comparison with other colleges in India IIT Bombay has very high tech system for attendance , registration , webmail etc. Sports facilities are awesome we have almost everything. We have multiple student.run bodies like Techfest, Moodi ,E-Cell,ISC,ICC, ITC.

Faculty :

Faculties here are top class like almost all of them have done PHD and now they are doing some research or stuff. The faculty to students. Varies in different courses. Like in core courses it is like 80:1 sometimes 50:1 or in some courses 200-300:1. Every prof have their unique way of teaching . They made their slides interactive, information , engaging. Like it is a bit hard to interact to prof in person as they are very busy so we have CRs in class we can share our queries with them.

Does IIT Bombay tag really matter??

Placement Experience :

The placements here at IIT Bombay are very very good. If a student has really done good or just put some efforts on skill development, he definitely gets placed and in a very good amount. A large number of companies visit for placements like Tata, L&T, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Uber, SONY, Samsung, Mahindra, Reliance, Qualcomm, Bajaj, Jaguar, Loreal, JSW, Hitachi, Mercedes, Havells,P&G, ITC, HUL, ONGC, HP, BYJUS, etc. This year around 1753 offers were made, out of which 1438 were accepted by the students in phase-1. All the information is available on IITB website. The highest package was around INR 4.23 CPA (in quant sector) and an average package of around INR 21.26 LPA. Around 82.1% of students were placed this year. Some students didn't sit for placements because they want to study further in foreign universities, or doing MBA further, or UPSC, etc.
