My CET rank was high enough to get admission in this college and this college has a high placement rate. This college also is affordable with a long history of producing excellent engineers who are able to work in ships with ease
The curriculum prepares the student adequately with frequent visits to the nearby dock in the last semester to get actual practical experience on the machinery which the cadet has to work on later on in their life
The students become eligible for placement from the third year. Many well known companies visit . Also because to the limited strength of each batch most of the students are placed before they pass out from the college.
The yearly fees is 250000. We also have to pay 30000 rupees as caution deposit. The hostel fees and the mess fees is included in the above mentioned amount. Outings are not included in the fees and extra money has to be paid for exam registration.
The festivals are not oragnised frequently with and are mainly focused on studying. The classes are equipped with a projector and internet connection. The students are also provided with wifi connection which does not work.
The faculty is hightly qualified and is very amicable and approachable. There are 2 internal tests with 1 end of semester exam. The exam is checked online by atleast 2 faculty and to prevent favouritism the paper is distributed to all branches of IMU
