I chose this college because of placements, back in 2023 I got a seat in VNIT NAGPUR, NIT PATNA, NIT RAIPUR, and top-rated colleges of Maharashtra but I chose VJTI over others as the placements of this college are pretty good over all options I got. Adding to it I got a circuital branch here whereas mechanical branch in other colleges. Thats the only reason I chose this college but honestly speaking I regret it.
Academics are not that good at VJTI MUMBAI it's harsh as VJTI is being top college in Maharashtra but it's true. The curriculum has changed from last year. But still, it's not that good, even the teachers aren't good we students have to study by ourselves and that's the point I didn't like about this college, being a topmost college this is not expected. Even practicals we students has to prepare by ourselves, so no practical knowledge is being served by college.
Companies start visiting in the semester for internships. This year 6 students from VJTI got internships in Google. Summer and winter internships are also provided by colleges and clubs. Summer and Winter Internships are unpaid and also not good as you don't get to learn much.
Placements of VJTI MUMBAI are pretty good and more than I expected, even better than COEP PUNE. The average package for the current year is 13LPA and the highest was 62LPA, more than 300 companies visited campus including GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, SAMSUNG and many more top companies. branch average ctc highest ctc places students ( %) cse 19.71 57 93 IT 16.74 50 95 electrical 10.16 29.80 95 electronics 11.17 23 84 entc 11.13 23 82 mech 9 13.95 97 civil 6.87 14.10 92
I am a general category student so the fee structure for a general category degree student is a total of 82850 INR this is from the second year onwards. In the first year, there was a deposit of around 2000 INR. So the breakdown of these fees is as 15000 as tuition fees 39850 as development fees 26000 as other fees 1500 as exam fees and 500 as alumni association life membership fees. which I think is affordable over any private college
Campus life is pretty good it is chill, and many events and fests take place in college. Many opportunities are there, sports are good here, sports fest ENTHUSIA , cultural fest PRATIBIMB, technical fest TECHNOVANZA. The infrastructure is poor of this college campus area is around 15-16 acre which seems small. VJTI has one of the best libraries, it has a lot of books and the availability of almost every book is provided here. Facilities like smart board charging plugs and all are provided. Extracurricular activities offered on campus are sports dance drama and much more, in fact, college teams go in other colleges to compete.. Most of the clubs are run by students.
I am studying in my second year of BTECH IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, Many teachers are not good at teaching, few are good and supportive. But most of the time students have to study independently for exams and stuff. Exam systems are strict, two exams are conducted per semester, The first is mid-semester and then the end semester, mid semester is of 40 marks which in converted into 20 marks. End semester is of 100 marks which is converted later to 60 marks and 20 marks are internal for class tests and attendance.
I am a technical student so I have a mind set that I have to go in a technical field only I started my technical career from 11th as choosing a vocational subject in 11th and 12th frequency and timings we come to know a month ago so you have to prepare your self everyday and areas of improvement is that you make technical mund strong
When discussing the placements or employability prospects of a college, here are key aspects to consider: ### 1. **Placement Statistics**: - **Placement Rate**: What percentage of students secure jobs through campus placements? - **Average Salary Package**: What is the average salary package offered to graduates? - **Highest and Lowest Packages**: Details about the highest and lowest salary offers can provide insight into the range of opportunities. ### 2. **Companies Recruiting on Campus**: - **Diversity of Companies**: Which sectors or industries are represented by the recruiters (e.g., IT, finance, consulting, manufacturing)? - **Top Recruiters**: Which companies regularly visit the campus, and what roles do they typically offer? ### 3. **Job Roles and Positions Offered**: - **Job Profiles**: Are the positions offered in line with the curriculum and students' areas of interest? - **Career Growth Opportunities**: Do the roles offer good career growth potential
