Band 7 IELTS Essay

The legacy of a nation is reflected in art, which is the outward expression of personal talents. Currently, it appears that the government cares less about art. But I believe that it still has to be given greater value than some other basic necessities of any country.

So first, it is the best way for the government to generate revenues. The sources of a hefty income are museums, art galleries, and musical performances. The attractiveness of museums is enhanced by captivating sculptures and exquisitely engraved paintings by well-known painters, which draw visitors. These visitors are without a doubt the main source of income. These historical sites and monuments see a considerable influx of visitors, which helps to promote local craftsmen and generate revenue for small businesses. Second, every nation's culture and history are reflected in its art.

It is the true asset of every nation, contributing to its distinctiveness and sense of pride. And it will be challenging to maintain if government funding is not provided.

There are numerous justifications for why the administration should support the arts. First and foremost, art reflects a nation's culture. It can also boost a nation's economy by bringing in visitors from other nations to view artists. And works of art like historical paintings or famous movie stars, which boosts tourism. Thirdly, if an art gallery is held, it creates job chances for those who work in the exhibition in addition to the artist and the center's administration.

However, some critics of the arts claim that funding for the arts impedes government efforts. To build a good infrastructure, road network, effective transportation system, and medical facilities. Additionally, funding for schools and hospitals will undoubtedly lower the nation's rate of illiteracy. And improve overall well being, both of which are crucial for a country's development.

To sum up, as art is a fundamental component of every nation, the government should support art galleries. And artists' causes in order to preserve the nation's glorious past. Otherwise, both the artists as well as the art will perish into obscurity.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

If the state should support the arts is the question that is under discussion. People who support government funding for the arts assert that it makes a significant difference. Whereas others are emphatic that taxpayer money should be used in other ways to object to the idea of funding the arts. However, I firmly believe that every dollar spent on the arts is worthwhile.

To start, because they have been crucial in defining national identity. And thinking for so many years, the arts are typically seen as an integral element of a nation's heritage. Since the arts and history are so closely related, people should be worried about passing on their wisdom and knowledge to younger generations. Governments set up organizations and give them funding in order to maintain the arts as a component of the nation's history. In exchange, these organizations create plays and show historical treasures to raise the level of interest among residents and visitors alike in this field.

Additionally, the government pays for maintenance, which explains why most national museums have free admission. As a result, the government invests a little amount of time and resources to conserve the arts through museum displays.

The fact that the arts are an excellent form of entertainment is still another advantage they have. Since the Louvre receives the lion's share of tourists each year, the arts are also a successful industry.

In conclusion, government spending is important to allow the arts to flourish. Because the artists themselves invest a significant amount of money into their projects. And because state funding increases public access to the arts. The arts help the economy of the nation and are beneficial in a variety of ways, from bringing in tourists. And businesses to revitalize neighborhoods, providing new jobs. And raising the standard of living for thousands of individuals who make their living via the arts.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

Arts show a person's inventiveness as well as the legacy of a nation. While many people think that funding the arts is a waste of money. I disagree and think that government funding the arts is a wonderful idea.

Many people believe that allocating money for the arts hinders the happiness of its citizens and the advancement of the country. According to them, available financial resources may be used, for instance, to create more hospitals, roads, schools, and other infrastructure. This entails improving transportation to formerly inaccessible locations and improving treatment for the sick. It provides improved educational facilities for kids. These folks think that art is an extravagance that many governments cannot afford.

In addition, art makes life worthwhile. Art is a complement for the human soul, much like food is. With its distinctiveness, it has a fantastic ability to help everything, including structures, roads, and parks. Just picture how bare a space would be without a painting or other adornment! Through the use of their experiences and the stimulation of their creative ideas, individuals are using art to improve their lives.

While expenditure on the arts is essential, investments in these fields are also crucial. The economy benefits from funding the creation and maintenance of the arts. Which are crucial for reducing crime, entertaining audiences, and energizing them. Visitors from around the world can be drawn to art galleries, bringing in money while artists use their creations to expose social injustice. Additionally, participating in and appreciating the arts. Such as music, acting, dance, and painting, are excellent ways to get stress out while also teaching others. These actions also present a favorable image of a country to the outside world.

Many museums, theaters, and art galleries would not have been able to operate if governments did not financially support the arts. For a country to truly advance, the arts are just as crucial as science.

In a nutshell, it is obvious to me that investing in the arts is good for both the person and society. Therefore, government funding of the arts is not money wasted.
