This test comprises three long passages that take around 60 minutes to complete. The IELTS reading module includes text-based descriptive or factual data. Average score for IELTS writing section is 6.0. Task 1 in IELTS writing requires candidates to summarize a graph, table or chart in 150 words. Writing task 2 requires candidates to write a 250-word essay.
IELTS Speaking average score ranges from 6.5-8. Speaking section is of 11-14 minutes and requires candidates to engage in an informal conversation with the examiner. The assessment criteria remains same for both academic and general patterns.
