Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

The importance of leisure time for people's emotional and physical health cannot be overstated. Therefore, in order to make the most of this valuable time, many people prefer to randomly spend their free time. Some like engaging in new experiences and revitalising themselves. On the other hand, other people place a strong emphasis on good planning to make the most of the same amount of time.

I want to agree with the latter opinion even if both have valid points. One side of the debate contends that people should take advantage of their free time without any agendas or commitments. This is primarily due to the fact that, unlike routine jobs, the main goal of enjoying downtime is to break the monotonous cycle of organised life. Therefore, if people planned these activities, it would be difficult for them to relax in preparation for their upcoming workdays. Additionally, these activities are typically seen as fluid activities. Therefore, if time or financial constraints are placed on them, it may put undue pressure on people and ultimately increase their stress levels. Despite the points made above, I contend that planning leisure activities makes them more enjoyable. The argument is that by scheduling these activities in advance, consumers may be able to make the most of their available time. For instance, thorough exercise before a trip may enable tourists to not only see as many magnificent locations as possible. But also to do so while spending as little money as possible. The avoidance of undesirable circumstances is yet another crucial justification for stressing adequate consideration. In other words, those who plan ahead before engaging in leisure activities may be able to prevent unfavourable circumstances. Such as severe weather, burglary, and financial difficulties. To sum up, although spontaneous fun activities are nice, a thorough outline is preferable for better resource usage and situational avoidance.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Although some people disagree, the idea that free time should be employed according to a detailed plan is a common one. There is a rational argument on such a topic, even if it entirely rests on the individual's personal choice. According to me, one should schedule leisure activities because they might provide them with a worthwhile return. Nevertheless, there are two sides to the statement that need to be addressed, and they are shown here.

On the one hand, effective use of leisure time, which can only be secured by regularity, can help someone succeed in life. The habit's return, though, takes time and does not happen immediately, but over time it produces more. For instance, Jack Ma, who had earlier been turned down for a server position at KFC, utilised his free time productively while his friends wasted it. As he began to learn everything about entrepreneurship sequentially, he had a proper plan for the time. He would not have seen Alibaba, the largest marketplace of our day, if he had not followed his other buddies and done the same. Therefore, careful planning and superb execution can completely alter someone's life. On the other hand, we must adhere to a rigid schedule for a major period of our lives, which should be abandoned temporarily to relieve stress. Additionally, both physical and mental relaxation are necessary to increase productivity in both the professional and social spheres. For instance, a study found that those who spend their weekends unplanned tend to return to work more capable and creative than those who used to prepare. Therefore, following a regimen too closely may make the body and mind less effective. As a result, it is clear that neither approach's results are entirely certain enough to render a final judgement. However, one can benefit by intelligently managing their leisure time with a balance of careful preparation and adequate rest.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

A few people think that organising a good time in advance has numerous advantages, while others think that preplanning is completely useless. Both points of view will be covered in the next paragraphs of this essay. To avoid difficulties and disruption, however, I believe that planning ahead is crucial and significant. On the one hand, people believe that scheduling leisure activities in advance increases the likelihood that they will be cancelled.

In other words, if someone prepares a great time in advance, it is possible that unforeseen changes can make a difference. Such as a change in the person's health or the arrival of guests, it could cause the valuable preparation to be abandoned. It would also lead to psychological and financial problems. As an illustration, when my cousin Karan planned to visit Europe last year but had to cancel all of his reservations owing to the avian influenza outbreak. He experienced both financial loss and melancholy. People who schedule their activities in advance, on the other hand, are perceived as being content and stress-free. This is due to the fact that they can use the provisional offer on reservations for hotels or flights, both of which can typically be made in advance. Additionally, they reduce the time needed for planning and overseeing the action. Additionally, they can create a budget in advance, which will enable them to save a sizable sum of money. An example of this is when my aunty organised a reunion of her college classmates in Goa a year in advance, making it easy and hassle-free. In my opinion, planning ahead is essential and beneficial because it relieves stress and helps individuals save money. People can schedule their leisure time so they can concentrate on the things that require attentive attention. As an illustration, Mr. Singh, my neighbour, plays online games in the afternoon so that he can concentrate on studying at night. Therefore, preparing ahead of time has both advantages and disadvantages. It is more advantageous, in my opinion, though.
