Topic: Some people feel that entertainers are paid too much money.

Do you agree or disagree? Which other types of job should be highly paid?

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Since celebrities amuse millions of people, it is a prevalent belief that entertainment is fundamental to society. However, there is a contentious dispute over whether celebrities should receive high pay. I concur with the notion that celebrities in the entertainment industry are frequently overpaid.

First off, it is obvious that celebrities make too much money despite not performing a necessary function. Football players, for instance, make big incomes just by kicking a ball, in contrast to teachers. Who are more crucial to our future yet are never mentioned among the highest-paid professionals. Without top level football or movie stars, we could live constantly.

As a result, celebrities in the entertainment industry do not necessarily need to earn more money than others.

In today's fast-paced world, entertainment is regarded as pleasurable. And recreational pursuits that people want to partake in when they have free time. The bulk of people enjoy movies and sports more than any other events. To perform in any movie or television show, the movie star must put in a lot of effort. Furthermore, they represent their country abroad, which boosts the nation's honor and respect as well as its economic output.

Those who disagree with this viewpoint would argue that since celebrities have spent many hours honing their abilities. And health, it is only reasonable for them to be compensated well. Maybe this is true, however other important professions like doctors and engineers also invest a lot of time in learning and conducting extensive research. In other words, celebrities' pay should be comparable to that of other professionals.

Sadly, those in other professions who significantly benefit society are paid considerably less than they should be. Professional athletics appears to be more highly valued by society than occupations like that of doctors, engineers, and other important professionals.

In conclusion, celebrities do play certain roles in entertainment, but I still maintain that their pay is excessive. Since engineers and doctors are more valuable than celebrities, paying them equally can ensure the smooth advancement of a society.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

In the lives of people, entertainment has evolved into a trend and a source of wonder. Some claim that entertainers receive excessive pay while other professions receive insufficient compensation. Here, I wholeheartedly concur with the notion that entertainers receive excessive pay.

The entertainment industry has been one of the necessities of humanity, so the public is willing to pay any price to be amused. As a result, movie actors, musicians, sports athletes, and many more are working in this industry to provide the public with a more comfortable way of life. And the demand increases with increase in high prices.

It is not just the entertainment industry that benefits the world. There are many other professions as well, including those of engineers, surgeons, lawyers, business executives, and many more. Who are as committed to making contributions. Everyone understands that Covid-19 has caused untold numbers of deaths worldwide since 2019. And in light of these conditions, only doctors are regarded as gods who are constantly working to use their interpersonal talents to save more lives. Additionally, some occupations, including those in the healthcare industry, notably among physicians, require advancement. Being a physician is not an easy profession because they deal with people's health on a daily basis. Therefore, they need to be highly paid to make their jobs more convenient and effective. For instance, the physicians who perform numerous procedures. And touching the bloodstream of unrelated individuals merely to save their lives stands to gain significantly.

To summarize, it is evident from the aforementioned ideas that entertainers can just amuse people. Whereas doctors as well as other occupants play a crucial role in the world by providing assistance to everyone. I believe that the government ought to address this bias condition in an appropriate manner. In order to make all professions comfortable and in a good mood for work. The government must raise the pay for all types of jobs that have an impact on society, such as those held by celebrities, doctors, and engineers.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

People in the entertainment industry were paid relatively little in the past because the industry was underdeveloped. However, the wealth of the superstars increased more as a result of technological advancement. Personally, I think these people are making excessive financial gains. In this essay, we'll examine the causes of this as well as the occupations that merit such high pay.

First off, celebrities like actresses, musicians, and athletes are compensated according to their popularity with the public. The Hollywood actors, who are rumored to charge more money in billions for signing a single project, is a good example of this. In other terms, he was only given such a large sum in the hopes that the movie would be a success. However, it is also clear that without these stars and films, society would not suffer. Stand up comedians like Kapil Sharma and many new emerging comedians are paid highly. Their skill is to make people laugh at their jokes and roasting celebrities are others. Nowadays entertainers are emerging on social media platforms like Tiktok, Instagram. These are also paid through social media on the basis of their followings. These are also paid highly as people love watching them. I believe that such compensation should instead be given to those working in the sector with the intention of improving society. For instance, medical professionals and security personnel should be compensated well because they constantly assist the nation's citizens by safeguarding them.

In summary, it is evident that lavish payments to well-known individuals amount to a waste of resources that may be put to better use. Instead, this sum ought to go to those who work in fields that save lives, like medicine or law enforcement. Therefore, it is hoped that the government will regulate people's incomes in accordance with their significance and roles in society.
