Band 7 IELTS Answer

The flowchart shows the procedure of recycling glass bottles in factories. The chart has 7 steps that have various functions.

The first step is collecting bottles of different colors like green, brown and clear glass from public places. This is the first major step as without the collection, we cannot go further. Then they are transported, which is the second step. After they are transported, the caps are taken out and separated into plastic caps and metal caps. This happens in the processing plant. After the caps are separated, the bottles are broken into small pieces for processing. After breaking, these broken glasses are transferred via a vehicle to the glass factory. The glass factory has a furnace where glass and raw materials are mixed. This furnace has a temperature of 1200 degree centigrade. The mixture melts and then it is transferred to the place where new bottles are made. This melting and creating new glasses takes place in the glass factory.

The whole process involves multiple steps in making new glass bottles. The old bottles are collected and transformed into new ones. All in all, we can see that two plants are in involved. The first one is processing plant and the second is glass factory.

Band 6.5 IELTS Answer

The image gives us the process of how new glass bottles are made from recycled glass. As we can see, the new bottles are made from old bottles themselves. This whole process from collecting old bottles to making new glass bottles are mentioned.

The first step is to collect old glass bottles and ship them to the processing plant. The collected glass bottles might be of different colors like green, brown or clear glass bottles. They are collected and transferred where classification takes place. The metal caps and plastic caps are separated in this process. After the separation of caps, the glass bottles are smashed and broken into glass pieces. These broken glass are transported via cars to the glass factory. The glass factory has a furnace and a shaper to make new bottles. The broken glasses and other raw materials are poured into the furnace. The furnace burns at 1200 degree centigrade. This melts the glass and the melted mixture is poured into the shaper to form new bottles. The new glass bottles are then formed. This is the whole process of making glass bottles from reusable and old glass.

Band 6 IELTS Answer

The various stages of the recycling process for glass bottles are depicted in the process chart.

The first step in recycling is to collect glass bottles from public places. The bottles can be green, brown, or clear. Following this, classification is performed on the glass bottle that was transported for the third step. Bottles with metal and plastic caps are separated in this step.

Plastic and metal caps continue on to the processing plant, where the broken glass is transformed into new glasses. They are then transferred via car to a furnace. At a later stage, the raw glass and glass material are gathered, and the car enters the glass factory. The first step is to heat a furnace to 1200 degrees Celsius. The melted mixture is used to make new bottles at the final stage. This glass making process has seven steps altogether.

In general, all of the steps are necessary because omitting even one step could halt the process. There are seven steps in total involving three locations. Once is outside where collection of glass takes place. Second is the processing plant and third is the glass factory.
