Topic: Provocative adverts have no place in a civilised society’.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

In order to promote the goods, advertising is essential. Or to put it another way, trading a product without one is difficult. Due to the unsettling substance of the television ads, one may even sell the half-baked items in the market with the benefit of having an attractive commercial. The educated people are more irritated by annoying topics in advertisements.

The notion that one should employ inventiveness in advertisements rather than seducing viewers with appealing subjects is one that is persuasive. First, as an example of what I mean, let's look at the "Axe" product campaign on television. In it young girls would chase after a guy for no other reason than the fact that he used the axe body spray. Television is watched by people of all ages despite the fact that it is unrealistic. So, with these appealing factors, the child's behaviour will undoubtedly be negatively impacted. Similar to this, another commercial features a well-known hero endorsing a soft drink. Endorsing with the message that if one drinks the beverage, one can pull off any action with ease. In actuality, it has been discovered that drinking this soft drink is unhealthy and contributes to obesity. In addition to the provocative advertisements, we also have ones that are educational, like the "Maruti Swift" campaign. It discusses the technical features of the vehicle and will be helpful to consumers when they are ready to buy. It's past time for the ostensibly civilised commercial filmmakers to modify the way they approach the subject of their work. Taking this quick route should be avoided for their own good. Because a well-organised and strong endorsement will always be taken into consideration by modern society. To sum up, advertising is the ideal instrument for marketing, but as we all know, "all that glitters is not gold,". Since some of the commercials are unethical, useless, or detrimental to society.

In today's society, commercials have taken on a crucial role. To deliver a certain message, they are presented in numerous ways. However, occasionally, a few unfavourable things are communicated in addition to the main idea. This simply addresses whether or not offensive advertisements should be included in a sophisticated and is then followed by a conclusion.

To begin with, ads may be seen practically wherever we walk and on almost every device. For instance, advertisements can be viewed when we are out and about on billboards, on the inside of moving vehicles, and online. The way that people make decisions is significantly influenced by these commercials. The contents of the advertisement occasionally are improper and leave a bad impression, despite the fact that these are nonetheless significant. For instance, when a fragrance is advertised, the commercial contains certain offensive elements that are inappropriate for youngsters to view. Additionally, authorities ought to approve any commercials that promote a good or service by showing violence and hatred. As a result, people might become violent and the crime rate might rise. Moreover, these types of advertisements shouldn't be broadcast on television or in other media. Contrarily, there are times when a product is of a type where some inflammatory language is required. For instance, the advertisement should undoubtedly include furious and aggressive bits to educate people. Such as about the conditions and manner in which pepper spray should be utilised in a dire emergency. However, the government should impose a cap on the amount of aggressive advertising that can be used. According to my perspective, ads should be displayed in accordance with the target audience and the value the general public can gain from the product. Additionally, people need to understand advertisements in a classy and sensible way. To sum up, annoying advertisements are not appropriate for the general public, but they are necessary for community awareness and benefit in small amounts.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Advertisements are made to capture the attention of viewers and persuade them to purchase the product by generating a desire for it. In order to accomplish this goal, advertisers turn to provocative text or imagery. It has sparked much discussion about whether or not such commercials belong in today's polite society. The next sentences will go over both the advantages and disadvantages of this problem.

First of all, provocative advertisements frequently have the unintended consequence of spreading negative messages to the audience. An illustration of this would be a recent deodorant advertising that received harsh criticism for demeaning women and was eventually taken down. These kinds of advertisements unintentionally feed prejudice and damage people's feelings. Subversive marketing may also mislead their audience about their offering in an effort to increase conversions. To promote their products, for instance, some advertising have leveraged sex appeal. Furthermore, they provide the impression that the individuals who use their products are attractive. The audience is given the erroneous idea by this, which is inaccurate. The use of controversial marketing does have some benefits, though. One advantage is that by utilising the "shock value," they might be useful in quickly raising consumer interest in a product. They are helpful in grabbing people's attention, starting discussions about goods or services, and elevating their reputation in the eyes of the general public. By successfully grabbing people's attention, they can also be utilised to raise awareness about problems. In conclusion, I would like to say that there are advantages and disadvantages to employing provocative commercials to promote products in society. However, infringing on people's sensibilities in order to promote a product should not be tolerated. And such advertisements should be subject to regulation prior to being made available to the general public. Additionally, a progressive approach to product sales would be preferable to a controversial one.
