Band 7 IELTS Answer

The percentage of female college students between 1980 and 2015 is shown in the bar chart. The percentages for the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, South Korea, and France are depicted in the chart. In all, there was an increase in the number of women enrolled in higher education in the five countries.

In most countries, with the exception of South Korea, there were more female students in higher education in 2015 than there were in 1980. The number of women pursuing higher education increased in four of the countries.

South Korea saw the most significant change, with a percentage that doubled from 15% to 30%. France saw the smallest change, with only a 50 percent to 54 percent increase. Australia was the only nation where there was no increase. Despite the fact that the percentage of Australian women pursuing higher education has remained the same at 58%, this was the highest percentage since 1980 and was on par with the United States' 2015 record.

Band 6.5 IELTS Answer

The percentages of female students enrolled in higher education in five distinct nations between 1980 and 2015 are compared in the bar chart.

Over the course of the preceding 35 years, with the exception of Australia, the proportion of female high school graduates pursuing higher education significantly increased. South Korea had the lowest percentage of female students enrolling in higher education among the five countries.

When examined in greater depth, the pattern of women's participation in higher education in the United Kingdom and the United States is comparable. More than half of female students have decided to continue their education after 35 years, compared to just over 30% of female school dropouts in 1980. During this 35-year period, there was no change in the proportion of female university students in Australia, which was just under 60% in both years.

France had a slight increase in the percentage of female school dropouts enrolling in postsecondary education compared to other countries, going from 50% in 1985 to around 52% in 2015. South Korea still has the lowest rate on the graph, even though it increased from about 14% in 1980 to 30% in 2015.

Band 6 IELTS Answer

The presented bar chart depicts the percentage of female students attending higher education over a 35-year period beginning in 1980 and ending in 2015. The data is taken for five countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, South Korea, and France.

Throughout the given time period, overall, an increasing number of women paid attention to higher education.

In general, there was a rapid increase in the number and percentage of female school students attending higher education courses after 35 years, beginning in 1980. With the exception of South Korea, all four remaining nations experienced a high percentage, which exceeded 50 percent in 2015. Australia and the United States achieved the highest percentage, 58%, while the UK and France had slightly lower proportions of 54% and 55%, respectively. South Korea also increased but no as much the other countries. In 1980, they were 15% but in 2015, it doyubled to 30% women.The highest percentage of increase is in South Korea as they increased 100% and doubled the count.
