On the one hand, today's men and women prioritise their work goals over the emotional climate in their lives. Additionally, in an effort to make a significant amount of money, people often prioritise tangible possessions. Things like housing, costly automobiles, and lavish vacations. For instance, the current youth's primary goal is to promote their new. The exorbitantly expensive things on Instagram rather than express happy feelings through a work of original art. As a result, it appears that people have a predisposition to maintain their riches regardless of their emotional sentiments.

On the other hand, the younger generation is more likely to view moral pleasure and freedom as two of the most important aspects. Young people have a strong desire to explore the world, experience new things, and learn about foreign cultures. Additionally, people are becoming more interested in photography as they strive to capture every feeling. For instance, my older sister quit her well-paying career to pursue a passion that makes her happy and satisfies her urge to create. So, the better their lives are, the more contented males are.

After taking everything into account, it can be said that despite the current emphasis on materialism, people still care about their mental well-being. Most importantly, individuals strive to do their best in order to find happiness and maintain safety.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

It is undeniably the case that modern life is more materialistic than ever. Every day, our requirements have been increasing. However, it would be a conservative claim to suggest that we have been sacrificing our culture and customs in an effort to gain and consume more.

The notion that we are erasing our origins as we go toward materialism is based on the fact that many individuals do not want to change through time. Although culture and traditions have a distinct character, they are like a river that is always changing but still maintaining their consistency. Open markets and widespread industrialisation have boosted peoples' purchasing power and range of possibilities. They therefore want to improve their quality of life for themselves and their family, but this does not imply that they no longer value tradition.

Furthermore, purchasing or owning things does not actually destroy our principles; rather, a deeper illness known as quick gratification causes individuals to desire doing less work while yet achieving more. In today's demanding workplace environments, a widespread attitude of irresponsibility is evident, which makes people egotistical and manipulative. The need to acquire more items could lead to reckless spending and instances when people turn to buying as a coping mechanism for their insecurities. There is definitely a need to check this hyper consumption.

Finally, I think that while our culture and traditions are not disappearing, they are being practiced in a different way now than they were in the past. Living a decent, comfortable life instead encourages us to be proud of our cultural heritage and to celebrate it via rituals, festivals, and everyday behaviour.
