Band 7.5 IELTS Answer

The line graph depicts how the numbers of three types of birds spotted in Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary evolved over a 13-year period (2001-2014). Three different types of birds, Kingfisher, Black Beak Pelican, and Flamingo varied during a 13-year period from 2001 to 2014 at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.

Overall, it is obvious that the populations of all sorts of birds increased significantly over time, with flamingos recording the largest total over the years.

The numbers of kingfisher, black beak pelican, and flamingo in 2001 were 200, 1000, and 3000, respectively. The number of kingfishers increased somewhat during the course of two years, reaching 500. In comparison, the numbers of black-beaked pelicans and flamingos increased significantly, reaching 3000 and 5000, respectively.

The count of kingfishers in 2005 was 2500, whereas the other two species had much higher totals. Over the next three years, flamingo numbers stabilized at around 9000. During the same time period, the black beak pelican population in the bird sanctuary declined slightly. Notably, the kingfisher was the only species to have an increase in population. In 2014, there were roughly 4500 more flamingos than black-beaked pelicans and around 7500 more kingfishers.

The rate of growth of kingfishers is slower in comparison to other birds.
