Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

During the last two decades the internet has had a booming explosion in our society. Previously it was available in offices but now, every home, every cell phone and every individual has the internet. This means that the demand has increased and with this, people are interacting less with humans. In this topic we will discuss if this is having a negative impact on society. We will also discuss if the Internet is a way of opening up new communication possibilities.

I believe that the Internet is the new way of interaction. In 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world, we understood the use and the benefits of the internet. We were able to see and interact with friends, family, colleagues and others only via the Internet. During the lockdown worldwide, the Internet was the only way that broke the communication barrier. People started taking meetings and conferences via the Internet. Since there was no other way to talk to anyone face to face, everyone used the Internet to their benefit. The Internet allows people to get everything within the comfort of their room. They can order food, play games, watch movies, keep in touch with the world outside and so on. There is no need for a companion if you have the internet.

There are few backdrops to the Internet though. People do not meet other human beings and they lose that human touch. Except this, they can talk to each other via the internet. I believe that only this touch factor is what the internet is not able to give us. Except this, everything can be done over the internet.

In conclusion, as per my opinion, the Internet is going to be the future of communication. With the advancement of technology, people will have less time to travel. Hence, the Internet will come handy in these times. They will communicate via the Internet with each other. Hence, it is the future of communication.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

A recent study revealed that the more time people use the Internet, the less time they spend with real human beings. Some believe that this is affecting the social interaction of peopleSome see the Internet as a way of opening up new communication possibilities worldwide. In this essay, we will discuss the topic and share my own opinion.

I believe that technical advancement has made interaction with people easier. With the help of the internet, we can keep in touch with our family and friends. The Internet helps us to make friends and interact with them. People get to know many others via the Internet. Social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter all are used with the help of the Internet. Here one can make new friends, talk to them, make video calls etc. This has definitely helped people talk to friends from their bedroom. Nowadays, work from home culture has become a trend. People take meetings with the help of the internet. The Internet is used in almost all spheres of our life. This is definitely something that will be the mode of communication in future. I believe that the internet has opened new possibilities for communication worldwide. In the future, people will interact with each other more via the internet and web.

Yes, there has been a decline in the time they spend with real human beings. The more time they use on the internet, the less people interact with them. This does not mean that people are becoming antisocial. Nowadays, everyone has their friends. They interact over the internet and meet once or twice a year. They become social. Though the internet has reduced face to face interaction, it has not stopped people from becoming social. People still go out to party with friends made over the Internet.

I believe that the Internet will serve as the newest and the easiest way to socialize and communicate.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

The issue of people lacking physical interaction due to spending a large amount of time on the internet has become a matter of discussion for many. In this essay, we will discuss the reason behind this. The key factors behind this trend and the possible solutions will be outlined in this essay.

I believe that this is a negative development. There are multiple reasons for that. Due to more time over the internet and less interaction with people, the bond between friends and family is getting weaker. A recent study published by Stanford University showed that 3 out of 5 people picked socializing virtually over real world interactions. I also believe that the absence of in-person relations and human touch at a young age could result in weak social skills and interaction. This might build a social-phobia among children. I believe that with the usage of the internet, people do not need to go out to play games or have a chat with friends. They are missing out on some physical activity or having a conversation with friends. This is making them physically unfit. This directly results in not only people having a lower quality of life, but also developing social anxiety.

Spending less time with real humans has caused so many people not to be in accord with friends or neighbors. They are unable to build interpersonal skills such as morale, trust. Human affairs has contributed greatly in reducing psychological issues such as depression, and anxiety. This has reduced the rate of suicide attempt in our environment. In my opinion, I believe that people should spend quality time in building relationships with a human being rather than being on the internet all day.
