Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

We know that homework has been a part of our life since childhood. In schoollife, homework is an essential part of a student’s development. Many people believe that giving homework to school children works well. Others believe that it might put unnecessary burden on them. In this essay, I will discuss both the points before providing my own opinion.

School is a place where children go for studying. They build up their childhood and the base of education in school. This base needs to be strong so that they can excel in future. Not only education, children should learn basic life skills in life. They need to learn to finish their task on time. For this learning., teachers usually give homeworks to understand what children learnt at school. Suppose a child said he/ she understood the lesson in the class. However, there is not enough time in school to access or check if the student has really understood. Hence, teachers give homeworks. When they try to go home and complete the homework, the children and their parents will be able to understand if the learning at school is really working. The teacher will also understand after checking the homeworks. Also, homework keeps them under practice and helps them to improve their knowledge. Homework also helps in other ways. If they do their homework every day, it's easy to clear up questions and it helps to know everything. Naturally, students are able to pass exams without much preparation or anxiety.

On the other hand, homeowrks might burden students with lots of work. Imagine getting one homework from each subject teacher. They need to complete that within one day. This is really a burden as they will not have time to play or spend time with their family.

I believe that homeowrks are necessary for the development of a child. However, imposing them with a lot of tasks should not happen. The teachers in school should co-ordinate among themselves. Parents at home also should make sure that the children are spending enough time in doing other activities.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

It is true that homework is an essential component of schooling for students. While some of them believe that homework is extremely beneficial to them, others believe that it is of very little use to students. These kinds of activities are frequently regarded as advantageous for a variety of reasons, despite the fact that they come with some drawbacks.

Many significant considerations are taken into account by those who argue that homework is extremely beneficial to schoolchildren. First and foremost, since homework is an essential component of education in younger classes, it will significantly encourage them to study regularly. To be clear, students are required to remember everything they learn in class every day, and they never forget it in the long run. In addition, they may obtain a higher grade or score on their final exam. To put it another way, if they do their homework every day, it's easy to clear up questions and it helps to know everything. Naturally, students are able to pass exams without much preparation or anxiety.

Furthermore, instead of playing video games, free time can be effectively utilized. Additionally, it educates students about the serious nature of education. As a result, from a young age onward, they acquire time management and responsibility skills. As a result, it would result in the growth of productive citizens.

Others, on the other hand, argue that homework has negative effects on children. Children's leisure time is greatly diminished as a result. Children may develop a pessimistic attitude as a result of such imposed study activities. In addition, some of them have a propensity to imitate other children because they lack the ability to do so themselves and want to impress teachers. Despite this, I have a strong preference for the first statement due to the numerous advantages.

In conclusion, despite some drawbacks, there are numerous advantages for society as a whole and children.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

There are numerous ways they can assist students in achieving their learning objectives. One approach taken by teachers is homework. While others maintain that homework is essential to education, others argue that there is no need for it. Before expressing my own opinion, this essay will examine both points of view.

On the one hand, proponents of homework hold the belief that students will improve their skills by further analyzing their schoolwork at home. This is because the learning environment will change and the student will be able to test her own understanding on her own. Additionally, the student will learn what she needs to work on. For instance, one might believe that she has understood the lesson. However, when she tries to solve the problem on her own, she will discover where she lacks strength. This will make her learn that problem or lesson again to understand better. As a result, homework plays a significant role in student learning.

On the other hand, people believe it is a place where they can relax and perform household chores. To put it another way, children need to learn some important life skills at home in addition to what they learn in school. As a result, providing them with additional training will cause them to stumble upon some practical skills at which they excel. Some of the things that people learn as children include hobbies like cooking, baking, and gardening. It is essential to strike a balance between school and practical skills, so homework should not be done at home.

In conclusion, I believe it is essential to provide students with additional homework so that they can overcome their weaknesses and become excellent students. However, teachers should not overburden them with work so that they can focus on other responsibilities.
