Dear Emily,

I hope everything is going well for you. It's just been two weeks since I last saw you, yet it feels like a year! I'm writing to give you a concert ticket that I recently purchased. As I won't be able to attend the concert, I felt you should.

Guns N' Roses is set to perform in Oakland on November 7th. The entire squad would be on stage, and the show would run for four hours in the Oakland Coliseum. I bought a ticket since I didn't want to miss my favourite band's live performance. Unfortunately, I will have to cancel it owing to a last-minute family trip to Canada to celebrate my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary.

I know how much you admire Guns N' Roses, which is why I want you to enjoy the concert. I wanted to avoid disappointing my parents or upsetting my grandma, who was looking forward to seeing me on their wedding anniversary.

I'll give the ticket to David, who is also attending the performance, and you can see him before the show to pick it up. Remember to videotape the performance and share your experience with me when I return to see you.
