Letter to Your Friend About a Good News IELTS Writing Task 1 is a letter writing topic. Candidates are asked to write an informal letter. Each of the three sample responses contains an introduction, a body, and a conclusion in three paragraphs. The letter must be brief and to the point.
For IELTS General Writing Task 1, letters can be written in formal, informal, or semi-formal styles. The candidates must complete the task in 20 minutes. Students can consider their preparation for the writings section from the IELTS Writing Practice Papers and enhance their writing skills effectively. IELTS writing score is marked based on band scores. The band scores range from 0 to 9.

Dear Shreya,
I hope you're in good health and everything is fine. I'm overjoyed to let you know that I've lately moved to a new home in Kochi. Without a doubt, this home fulfills all of my dreams. 5000 square yards of the entire site are used for construction, and Ashoka trees line every edge of it. The main draw of the establishment is its terrace-side pool, which makes me feel like I'm on vacation.
I love the outdoors, as you are fully aware. You will be happy to learn that I have two lovely gardens in my neighbourhood where I can just wander and take a stroll when I have free time. Furthermore, it is quite convenient to access the grocery stores and supermarkets since they are located about 5–10 minutes away from my house by foot. I want you to come visit me and see my house. Seeing you here soon will allow me to share my joy with you, and I am already looking forward to it. I have therefore planned a modest gathering on October 2nd. Dear Kate,
Hope everything is going well for you. Sharing this news with you makes me very happy. My residence has changed to a new Etobicoke flat. I've been in my new home for three days now after moving out of Toronto's downtown, and I'm excited to share it with you. Therefore, it is actually located on the 23rd level of the Valhalla Inn Apartments.
It is a two-bedroom apartment with all the necessary furnishings and conveniences. When the kitchen gets dirty, it is simple to clean the modular kitchen, which is why I adore it. A children's park is right next to my building, and it takes only two minutes to get to the grocery store from where I live. You know how much I adore reading, so when I noticed a library on the side of my neighbourhood, I was surprised. It is important that I mention the Italian eateries in my neighbourhood. I'm very excited to take you there since I've heard they offer more than 60 different kinds of pizza. By this time, you must be aware of my excitement over moving here. I'm hoping to run into you at some point, maybe over the weekend. We could throw a gala and you could stay the night with me. Hopefully we'll run into each other anytime soon or else let's plan someday.

I am aware that it has been far too long since our previous communication. I hope everything is going well for you. To be more specific, I want to share with you the joy of my recent home purchase and I am really excited. I recently moved into a new home, and I'd like to extend an invitation to you to stop over.
Remember how we once envisioned us eventually relocating downtown? Fortunately, I was able to purchase a home in the heart of downtown Toronto for a fair price. It is a three story building, and the top floor has four bedrooms. However, the kitchen is located on the ground floor, and every bedroom has an attached bathroom. We also have a lovely garden behind our mansion and a basement with three bedrooms. Furthermore, I consider myself fortunate to have such great and helpful neighbours. Last week, they extended an invitation to eat with them. You are welcome to come to my house and stay with me for a few days. In addition, I intended to invite our other close friends and my neighbours. If somebody should be invited when you arrive, we will decide together. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon.
