I will explain the reasons below.

Pandemic has led to difficulties in the life of many people. There are more homeless people than ever before. Many have lost their jobs and homes due to the lockdown. I am aware of the reputation of the club being kind to people. Taking this into consideration, I am sure that we will come as a great help to the needy people. I have planned something which I would like to share with you. Firstly, we will ask the members of our club to donate for this noble cause. Then we can encourage people to volunteer and visit door to door to collect funds. This will help us gather all the funds that we need. Then we can help the people have shelter, food and proper clothes.

The time is desperate and I believe that we should get more active during these hours. I am sure that most of the members of our club would feel the same way. I will be glad if you can call a general meeting and discuss this with the members.

I am Oslo and I am a member of the club “Bright Sunshine”. I am writing this letter to you to request a fundraiser for the homeless people. Since you are the secretary of the club, I am sure that my request will not be averted.

Sir, I have this request because the homeless people are in need of this. After the hike in price, some of them are unable to pay for proper food or clothing, let alone a place to stay. I wanted to raise some funds to help them. I am sure the other members of our club will also agree. We do have the reputation as one of the most popular clubs to help the poor and the needy. I also have a plan laid out for this venture. We can request our club members and our contacts like friends and family, office colleagues and their colleagues and friends. This way the circle will increase and we will get more help. The people are really in bad shape and we need to help them as soon as possible.

I believe that our club should take this opportunity to help the poor. I would request you to call a general meeting with all the members on the said topic. I will be available to present my idea to them, if required.

Band 7.5 IELTS Letter

Dear Mr. Charles,

I have recently joined the club “care International” of which you are the president. I joined a few months back and I am pleased with the work that we do. Firstly, I would really like to thank you for organizing each event successfully.

I do have a request or rather a concern which needs to be addressed. Since winter is on the way, we need to help the homeless with proper clothes and shelter. I wanted to raise funds for the homeless people and help them. I would request you to look into this matter. I also have planned on how we can raise funds. Firstly, we can request every member of the club to donate some amount. We can then spread this message in our housing apartments and societies. This will bring in a lot of money for the noble cause. I have also planned to work as a volunteer and visit door to door for funds. We can give pamphlets in offices and public transports also. This will bring in funds from a lot of sources.

I would like you to arrange a general meeting about this with all the club members. This way we will get to know how many of us approve this request. I have recently met some homeless people and the request came from them. Hence, it is my earnest request to you to look into this as soon as possible.
