Respected Sir/ Madam,

I am writing this letter to report a lost item which is of great value to me. I was traveling from Bangalore to Kolkata by train when I lost the item. I boarded the Duronto Express from Bangalore as I was returning home. When I deboarded the train in Kolkata, I could not find my iPad.

I kept the iPad in a small bag. The iPad is of white color. I have my initials engraved on the back side of the iPad. The bag was black in color. The bag was with me when I slept at night. When I woke up in the morning, I started to collect my luggage to get down from the train. At that time, I could not find the bag containing the iPad. It is very important to me since I have all my documents and pictures stored. It is also recently purchased and costs around 1 lakh. I addressed this with the station manager on the same day. He already started an investigation. It is one of my favorite gadgets and I am really depressed after losing it. I cannot understand if I have left it somewhere or someone took it. I had searched the whole train before getting off but could not find the bag or the iPad.

I would request you to look into this matter deeply and with some urgency. I conduct my studies and office work on the same ipad. I was in the B7 compartment of the train. My seat number was 45. I would love to hear any status regarding the iPad.

Respected Sir/ Madam,

My name is Ashish and I was a passenger of Delhi - Kolkata Duronto Express. My compartment was A3 and seat number was 30. I am writing this letter to report a lost item of value.

Recently when I was traveling from Kolkata to Delhi, I lost my wallet. It contains all my identity proof original documents. My Voter card, aadhar card and pan card are present in my wallet. It is very important to me and is of great value. I also have many business partners whose contact details are in the wallet. The wallet is of brown color which is very common. However, there are two blue and green stripes on the wallet which makes it stand away from others. I have my credit and debit cards which I have already stopped. I remember going to the washroom and keeping it there. While coming out, I forgot to collect the wallet. After an hour, I suddenly remembered about the wallet. I went to find the wallet in the washroom and it was not there. I was devastated to see that. I asked other people and inquired with GRP but could not find out.

I would request you to raise an investigation with the GRP and check with the local police station also. I just need the wallet and the documents back. I am ready to reward someone who finds it for me. This is so important that I cannot imagine life ahead without it. Please help me find the wallet and I will be very grateful.

Band 6.5 IELTS Letter

Respected Sir/ Madam,

This letter is to report the loss of a bag in one of your trains. I availed this train last Tuesday and traveled from Mumbai to Delhi. The date was 22nd May, 2022 and I booked tickets for AC Three tier. My compartment number was A3 and seat number was 55.

That bag was packed with a few of my very important documents. It had an appointment letter for my new job role that is on hold for the time being. I can still clearly recall that as soon as I got on the train, I put the luggage carefully under my seat. My seat was on the lower berth and it was a window seat. However, I discovered that my bag was missing when I got to Delhi. It's a Violet square-shaped bag. The company of the bag is American Tourister. The bag has a big company logo on the front. There are colorful decorations on the interior pockets and is constructed of shiny leather. There are tiny wheels under the bag to drag it. It is unique because it has three wheels. My credentials for college and employment are also in the bag, along with my phone and credit card. These things are very important to me.

I would request you to investigate internally for the bag. The lost and found department can also help, I guess. If you receive any information or get the bag, please let me know. I will personally go and collect it from your office.
