Band 8 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir,

My recent ride on your train was with you. I regrettably left some crucial paperwork behind when I disembarked, which is why I'm writing.

I rode your 3 pm train from Charleville to Beartown last Friday, June 10. The third row of the second carriage was where I was seated. I left a black hard plastic box on my seat, which held the writings of my university students as well as the thesis I was revising.

When I went home, I found the case wasn't with me, so I called your station right away. I requested that they deliver an urgent message regarding the papers to any crew members present. Pamela, the woman who answered the phone, claimed she had no direct contact with any railway crew. The most she could do was to establish a ticket for a customer complaint and note that I would hear back by Monday.

Since it is now Tuesday and no one has been in touch with me, I would like to know what has happened to my docs. Additionally, I strongly advise that protocols be created so that once lost goods are reported, train staff may swiftly check for them.

I eagerly await your prompt reply.

Yours Sincerely,
James

Band 6.5 IELTS Letter

Dear Ma’am,

This letter provides an outlet for me to voice my displeasure with the Railway Station's administration. I just took a train on the 27th of July from Chandigarh to Goa via the motorway, which I had reserved online in the month of February.

To avoid any problems with the waiting list, I usually liked to make reservations in advance. But on a specific date, I discovered that my name was not on the list when I arrived at the station. I tried to ask at the ticket counter why I was so dissatisfied, but they had no good explanations, so I left feeling even more let down. Instead, they were blaming me, saying things like "I should have double verified it before I came."

I had to abruptly cancel my business meeting since I had a significant problem with the cancellation of my seat. Moreover, my employer was not pleased with me at that moment and actually cancelled all of my upcoming appointments. Only your department's terrible management might explain why I felt so humiliated.

I wish to recommend a programme that will enable your team to verify all the information in under a minute in order to solve this problem. This software may be used to handle all passenger reservations. I do not desire for someone else to experience this similar inconvenience.

I sincerely hope you appreciate it and act right away after reading this message.

Yours Sincerely,
Vivek Miitthal

Band 6 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir,

I took the Jan Shatabdi express last week on July 25 from Banaras to Delhi as a passenger in the A-class compartment. It was probably under your direction (PNR number 425-0034612). I encounter a number of annoyances and issues during the exhausting and protracted travel. I would like to file a formal grievance.

To begin with, the malfunctioning door caused an hour's delay in the train's departure. As a result of mechanical difficulties, the train had to stop many times along the way. I was delayed by four hours in getting to Delhi as a result. Second, the train was overbooked, my seat was broken. Moreover, I was asked to move to a second class cabin that was not clean to the required requirements. In addition, the doors and locks were broken, the stench of the restroom permeated the entire compartment. Further, on top of that, people were spitting on the floors.

I hope you can understand that my time with your organisation has been awful, and I eagerly await your response to let me know what steps you plan to take.

Yours Sincerely,

Raghu Mishra
