Band 7 IELTS Answer

Plans for Norbiton's Industrial area and its development in the future are depicted in details on the maps provided. With the construction of facilities for housing, education, shopping, and medical care, it is clear that the town will become less industrial and more residential in the future. Only a small portion of farmland will remain undisturbed as a result of this development, which will take place primarily to the west and north.

There is a roundabout in the current town that is surrounded by factories and a road that leads out of Norbiton from west to east. The roundabout will remain in the future, but the factories surrounding it will be converted into shops, new housing will line a northwestern road. A new hospital or medical centre will be built to the southeast. Housing on either side, a playground in the north, a school at the town's easternmost boundary, and the original eastbound road is seen in future planning.

Additionally, there are plans for a smaller roundabout in the south of the town that will divide an existing street from the center. A bridge will cross the river to the north, and farmland to the north will be partially replaced with housing, but not to the east, where no changes will be made.

Band 7.5 IELTS Answer

Redevelopment plans and a currently industrial area to the east of Norbiton are depicted on the maps. In general, the objective is to redevelop the area into a residential neighborhood with additional housing and facilities to support it.

There are several factories in the area that will be demolished as part of the redevelopment, and there is currently a roundabout that connects a southern and an eastern road.

Housing, a school at the end, and a playground to the north are planned for the area around the eastern road. A new road that will cross a river and go north from the roundabout is planned. Housing will be on the western side of the road. A road parallel to the river and connected to the northbound road will be constructed to replace the farmland north of the river with additional housing. Another road to the northwest of the roundabout is also planned. Along one side and at the road's conclusion, additional housing will be constructed.

It is planned to construct shops to the southwest of the roundabout. A medical center is planned for the southeast side of the street. Additionally, a second roundabout will be constructed at the T-intersection where the south road currently meets the main road.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

The plans to renovate an industrial site in Norbinton in the coming years are detailed on the maps. The overall goal is to redevelop the area into a city with more housing and other amenities.

At the moment, the area is dominated by two-shaped factories along the road. The first is a roundabout in the middle of the map that is surrounded by three plants. After that, on the east side, there is a straight road with five plants along it. The farmland and factory site are separated by a river without a bridge.

In the meantime, one of the redevelopment plans calls for converting all of the factories into homes. In the south of the map, there are also two additional roads and a brand-new circular street. Next, the construction of new housing and a new bridge to connect the center of the area to the north side of the river will reduce farmland space. Last but not least, the master plan will include shops, a playground for kids, a medical center, a school for education, and a medical center.
