Another reason why they don't interact as much is that people who move into newly established housing societies come from all over the country. It's hard for these people to step outside of their comfort zones to meet new people. For instance, they might prefer not to see each other because they don't share common interests in politics or food. There are instances where neighbours do not know each others though they have been living in the same building for years. If something happens to a person living in the next flat, we are unaware of it. This can cause serious problems and might have bad implications.

Since it's hard to live alone, having a strong sense of community is important. It can be instilled if residents of a community hold once a week gatherings at which they can meet.
