Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

In the modern world, young people have cultivated a variety of unhealthy eating behaviours that have led to a variety of issues. Such as obesity and other dangerous diseases, and that also places a financial burden on governments. There are several factors that contribute to this, but fortunately, there are also some remedies that may be used to address the issue.

Bad eating habits are the main factor behind children's overweight. Instead of eating wholesome meals that are prepared at home. They prefer to eat the fast food supplied by McDonald's and KFC. This type of food contains a lot of fat and cholesterol, which increases body weight and worsens the state of the internal organs. The development of their children's health is also greatly influenced by parents. These days, a lot of parents are either reckless or too busy due to demanding schedules to prepare a healthy dinner at home for their children. Because of this, individuals rely more on frozen food or fast food from fast food establishments. For example, my friend Aaron lives with his mother, who works six days a week, and they eat KFC every day since they don't have time to prepare dinner. However, there are a few potential remedies to this issue. First and foremost, parents and kids should schedule time each day for them to prepare meals that include meat and a variety of green vegetables. They will be able to feed their bodies adequately as a result and prevent weight gain and other illnesses. Second, instead of giving students junk food, schools might urge parents to prepare meals at home for their kids. This can be accomplished by holding seminars where parents and kids can learn about the benefits of eating healthfully and the drawbacks of eating unhealthily. This would raise awareness among society's participants. As an illustration, last week at my institution we organised a workshop for all the parents about how to make a nutritious lunch box for their kids. To sum up , there are numerous causes for the health issues that children today are having, but by using the methods given above, the problem can be managed.

One of the most prevalent issues, obesity is one that people at all ages, but particularly children, worry about. The population that has battled abnormal weight throughout childhood faces challenges as adults in terms of health and care expenditures. In this essay, I'll examine the main causes of this issue and suggest some potential fixes.

To begin with, youngsters spend the majority of their time today engaging in activities that don't call for any physical effort. Regular activities like watching TV, and spending a lot of time on social media cause the body to store the energy that people get from their daily food intake. For instance, people typically require 1500 kcal per day to keep their body's temperature, blood circulation, and brain function at a constant level. To avoid becoming obese, we must, however, typically consume more calories than this and engage in at least some physical activity. As a result, the younger age group, who live sedentary lives, is growing increasingly obese and lazy. In contrast, customers are rising in a linear proportion as a result of the expansion of fast food options around the world. Children account for a sizable amount of this growth. Researchers in the medical field believe that drinking sugar-based beverages contains special additives that can cause addiction. Advertising, which draws communities in with its colour, slogan, and appropriate design, is another important factor in their great demand in a global market. However, this may be controlled and overcome by older people and more knowledgeable social professionals. By those who can expose these marketing "tricks" and explain to the children the negative impacts of this diet. To conclude, growing children may experience irreversible effects from a lack of physical activity and a nutritious diet. And not just during a certain stage of development but also as adults. Fortunately, a sizable portion of the global population has learned about some of these conditions based on scientific evidence. And hence, is able to take the appropriate actions to enlighten their family and those around them.

These days, more kids are becoming obese. The health of the children may suffer as a result, and the pressure caused by the high costs of disease care may also be a factor. Several factors, in my opinion, contribute to this trend, but parents may simply influence the situation by making an effort. First off, a lack of physical activity is a major contributing factor in childhood obesity.

Due to technological improvements, people now choose to play video games indoors rather than outside in parks. For instance, a study reveals that children used to spend an average of 5 hours each week playing outside in prior generations. However, this period of time has since been cut to two hours. Consuming fatty foods is an additional factor. Kids are veering away from nutritious diets since there are so many delicious foods that are loaded with fat and carbohydrates now readily available to them. For instance, the majority of children today only desire to consume fast food as their primary sources of nutrition. Such as pizza, hamburgers, spaghetti, etc. In addition, there are contemporary approaches to maintaining children's health. To begin with, parents must encourage their kids to play outside. The practice games will make sure they are getting the right amount of exercise if they are a member of any teams. Additionally, it will enhance their emotional and physical well-being. The food of children must be supervised by parents, second. They can prepare meals at home where they would be cooked in healthier conditions and with less oil. They can also establish a diet plan for themselves. For instance, the majority of dieticians believe that by eating at home according to a diet plan. Children would receive all the nutrients they need to grow and will be less likely to develop obesity. To sum up, fast food and a lack of physical activity are in my opinion the two main causes of childhood obesity. If parents make an effort to support their children's participation in sports and their ability to prepare healthy meals at home, this can be easily overcome.
