Topic: In some countries, students pay their college or university fees, while in some others, the government pays for them. Do you think the advantages that the government pays the money outweigh the disadvantages?

Band 7 IELTS Essay

It is accurate that in certain nations, the government pays the tuition for colleges and universities rather than the students. This essay will contrast the advantages and disadvantages of this phenomena and make the case that it is preferable.

Government funding of education costs might undoubtedly be advantageous to both people and countries. Firstly, such behavior is advantageous to personal growth. This is due to the fact that students can concentrate more on their studies. When they are not concerned about paying tuition, which will enable them to grow into capable and engaged adults in the future.

Additionally, by giving these impoverished children access to the same educational possibilities as the wealthy. The gap between the two social groups will be reduced, leading to a more stable and cohesive society. Furthermore, a nation's overall quality will be greatly enhanced by giving state funds to the field of education. For instance, the United States has a population that is so well educated and intelligent. Because of the educational costs that are covered by the federal government.

The burden of funding higher education could fall on the government. This is due to the fact that the government already spends a sizable amount of money on its numerous public obligations. For instance, the government provides the public with a variety of services. Including transportation, healthcare, and recreational areas, all of which require significant maintenance expenditures.

However, it is equally important to consider the drawbacks of local governments paying for tuition. It will initially represent a danger to economic expansion. The rate of economic growth will be decelerated and hampered. Since there are not enough public monies available to be distributed to the sectors that immediately stimulate the economy, such the manufacturing sector. Additionally, pupils who are exempt from this obligation may not value the study chances. As much as those who can afford the expense themselves, wasting educational resources.

In conclusion, even though there are certain drawbacks to governments covering high education costs. I am in favor of the premise that it benefits both people and the entire country.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Although it is typical for students to pay their own university fees in the majority of nations. Certain governments subsidize practically all of the costs for their residents, which is still uncommon. In order to guarantee that all youth have the opportunity to attend college. As well as to lessen the financial responsibilities on our children, I fervently believe that the government ought to provide the funds.

Assuming the conditions are met, it can be assumed that even students from low-income households can pursue higher education. Children from low-income homes may think it is impossible for them to enter university. Even if they meet the entry requirements since it costs so much money. With the assistance of the government, it is possible to give those who have ability but lack finance the chance to realize those potentials. And subsequently contribute to society.

Kids can focus on their studies because they aren't concerned about costs, other than that. Some students choose to work after school to cover their daily costs and tuition. They struggle to get decent grades in school. Since they don't have enough time or energy to do revision due to their constant back and forth commutes between school and the workplace. Therefore, if the administration is willing to implement the free college fees policy. This can lessen the burden on students, which will improve their academic performance. It will make it easier for students to pursue further education. However, many measures must be taken to ensure that only those students who can't afford are benefited by the scheme. The students who can afford the education must pay for it. This will also benefit the government for income.

To sum up, I think the benefits of the government waiving the fees outweigh the drawbacks for the grounds of justice and improved academic achievement.

There are undoubtedly alternative ways for the government to invest its money than on infrastructure development. But because ability is the future of a country that depends on education, the cost of it is unavoidable.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Without a doubt, the government should manage funds to improve the educational system and lower illiteracy rates. However, in a small number of countries, students had to pay for colleges and universities while the governments of other countries covered these costs. The benefits of managing wealth, such as how it helps disadvantaged students. And how it organizes campus to inform people about higher education outweigh the drawbacks. Such as how hard it is to finance budgets and how little attention is paid to other areas.

The fundamental advantage of government funding provided in the form of college. And university fees is that foreign students that come from developing nations to pursue higher education do so.

Additionally, a small number of students who are exceptionally intelligent and gifted in the classroom. But unable to afford the costs of higher education institutions find it beneficial that the government offers scholarships to them. Additionally, a small percentage of people in some countries live in poverty. And are not qualified to pay for their children's tuition at schools or universities. In these cases, the authorities are obligated to provide assistance because the persons in question are nationals of such nations.

Because students care about the future of nations, using government funding to organize campaigns. To encourage students to pursue higher education is another significant benefit. Additionally, some parents are unable to pay for their children's tuition at colleges. And universities, which is why they cease enrolling them in higher education institutions. These camps give those parents the confidence they need to send their kids to college.

In summary, although it is beneficial for students who live in poverty to have their higher education centers fees paid by the government. If the regime spends a lot of money on the educational system, it will be stressful for other sectors. Like health, public transportation, the job market, and so on.
