Band 8 IELTS Essay

All over the world, governments allocate and spend money on various areas. However, there is a persistent debate among individuals regarding this. The debate goes if funds should be allocated to improving the educational system or in sports and other leisure pursuits. This statement completely piques my interest. I will express my views here.

First and foremost, a robust educational system is essential for the long-term growth of the nation's economy. Education fosters the creation of qualified and skilled labor. In addition, appropriate state authorities ought to allocate sufficient financial resources to guarantee citizens affordable and high-quality education. For instance, Singapore has successfully implemented a cost-effective, high-quality learning structure. Consequently, Singapore's unemployment rate ranks among the lowest in the world. Second, the crime rate will be lower in nations with educated local populations. because citizens are less likely to engage in immoral and illegal behaviors like drinking and using drugs. For instance, in the year 2021, a study found that countries with higher literacy rates have a lower rate of alcohol consumption and fewer incidents of breaking the law, leading to a healthy and safe lifestyle. Additionally, education raises awareness of human rights. Additionally, it increases productivity. Human resources professionals are better equipped to carry out their duties in an effective and efficient manner.

Sports and other recreational activities, on the other hand, are crucial to maintaining a healthier lifestyle. As a result, it gives its residents the opportunity to learn football, gymnastics, and other sports. Sports can also benefit the nation since improvement in sports will bring economy. Sportsstars are very famous now a days and winning international medals brings respect in the country. In a nutshell, when it comes to funding, education and schools should take precedence, keeping the long-term objectives in mind. That can be in sports and education as well.

Almost every government in the world has a budget each year to distribute funds for various activities. I agree that education should receive more funding from governments than sports and recreation. By looking at how spending more money on education can lower crime rates and the unemployment rate, as well as improve people's quality of life, this can be demonstrated.

Since there are numerous skilled jobs available worldwide, it is evident that a country's employment rate will rise if a greater number of people are educated. However, in order for a large number of people to be educated, governments need to provide a high-quality education system at a price that the public can afford. For instance, according to a report that was published in the magazine Week in August 2015, America has a very low unemployment rate. This is because the government provides citizens with the highest quality education for a very low cost. As a result, it stands to reason that more money should be spent on education by the government. People value sports and recreation as well, but education is significantly more significant.

The crime rate will fall as society gains social awareness. This is because people develop a positive mentality through education. For instance, the crime rate in Nigeria is 20 times higher than in the United States, according to a BBC report broadcast in January 2015. Therefore, it is the duty of governments to provide adequate infrastructure to ensure that citizens are educated. In addition, governments ought to make secondary education compulsory and free. As a result, it is abundantly clear that education must receive a larger budget from governments. Sports and other forms of recreation can raise people's quality of life, but what advantages do they offer when people are poor and engage in criminal activity?

It is critical that governments devote a larger portion of their budgets to education by analyzing the ways in which doing so can boost employment rates and make the planet a safer place to live. It is anticipated that sports and recreation will also receive attention, but not at the expense of education.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

The general public is of the opinion that educational rather than sporting endeavors should make use of a nation's financial potential. I personally strongly support this viewpoint, and I provide my explanation and examples below.

First, when the government spends more money on education, more schools are built with effective teaching methods and adequate facilities. The Vietnamese government provides a substantial amount of funding for the application of technological advancements in teaching and learning. This is regarded as a significant development. It provides all students with an opportunity to broaden their knowledge base. The funding helps students with new techniques and ways of education. It encourages students to develop their potential skills, and piques their desire to contribute to their nation in the future. As a result, it cannot be denied that investing in education will pay off in the long run.

On one hand, funding sports events only enhances a nation's reputation and generates revenue. On the other hand, education is a vast process that positively impacts numerous aspects of society. We can clearly increase the strength of scientific research, well-known artists, and medical accomplishments with a better educational structure. In order to achieve our educational goal, a fundamental background should be provided.

In conclusion, I reiterate my position that the government should invest a significant amount of money in education because its advantages far outweigh those of sports. Any nation that holds this perspective will benefit financially in the not-too-distant future as it will demonstrate its logic.
