Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

The discrimination between the man and the woman or the discrimination between sexes is a burning issue nowadays. The rules of society have changed compared to 2-3 decades ago. With the advancement of modern time, women are dominant in different roles while men are suffering the sexual disparities. I agree with the statement and I will explain the reasons in the following essay.

In my country there is a history of dominance over women. They were only given the roles to care for the home, cook, bring life to the world and be a mother. They were oppressed and not allowed to work. This happened with the majority. But after the millennium, a sudden change took place all over the country. Majority of the women became aware of their rights, responsibilities and changed their roles. Different organizations came up and fought for the rights of women. Previously women were escorted by one or the other family members. Now, time has changed. Women run her own business, make deals perfectly, and lead her own lives. Undoubtedly this is a positive change in their roles.

I absolutely support this and every individual has the right to grow. But with that, a growing number of women are now denying their responsibility for their family. The developments have made women independent in all sectors of development, economy, education, healthcare, jobs etc. But unfortunately, they are replacing the roles of men. They are occupying the positions of men and dominating the world. As a result, males are now subject to sexual discrimination. There is also a thought that prevails which says that the men have dominated the women for ages. Now it is the time for women to dominate men.

I believe that this thought is what forces the discrimination and domination. This also gives rise to sexual discrimination among women.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

There is always a discrimination between men and women. The huge problem that the society had 20 years back is still prevailing but the sides have changed. The women have established themselves among men and fought for their rights. There are many laws that favor women but not men. One cannot say that there are laws for men which the women do not. There is nothing as such at this moment. However, due to this change, men are now suffering from sexual discrimination. In this essay, I will explain the points.

Nowadays, we have many non profitable organizations fighting for women’s rights. There are feminist who are asking for the equality of the sexes. However, at present, there is no such law or rights that the women do not have but the men have. They are equal for all. With this change, the society is no longer a male dominated society. Women and men are working hand in hand in offices and other places. They are helping with household needs, shoppings, markets and so on. Women getting equal rights, however, changed the behavior of few. They think that it is good to order men and mentally abuse them. Once women start earning, many men in their families have faced abuse and mental torture. They put pressure on the men of being independent and leaving the men if they do not fulfill their request. In workplaces also, 50% of the seats are reserved for women. Special preferences are provided to women for hiring. We can hear that the batch that is being hired consists of only women and no men. This leads many men to fall behind and not get a job. This sexual discrimination has started in modern society. I have been rejected from a few companies though I was eligible. This was due to the fact that they were hiring only women.

To conclude, I believe that with the change in women’s roles in modern society, men are now the ones suffering from sexual discrimination. This is not in all places but most of the genres of the society. This can only be changed with the change in human behavior and attitude.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

Discussing discrimination between men and women is a pressing issue. In today's society, men's and women's roles have evolved more rapidly than they did 20 years ago. As time has passed, women now dominate a variety of roles, while men suffer from sexual disparities. The following are the reasons for my agreement with the statement:

Before the year 2000, women everywhere were subject to dominance. They played the usual roles in taking care of the house. But everywhere underwent a sudden shift after the millennium. The majority of women altered their roles and became aware of their rights and responsibilities. The woman, who was once escorted by family members, can now move wherever she wants, run her own business, flawlessly negotiate deals, and lead her own life. This is unquestionably a constructive shift in their roles. However, as a result, a growing number of women are denying their family responsibilities, leaving men helpless.

Women are prioritized in all development, economy, education, healthcare, and employment sectors as a result of the positive changes that have made them independent. Sadly, however, they are taking on men's roles. They are ruling the world and holding positions traditionally held by men. Consequently, males are becoming more vulnerable to sexual discrimination than women were in previous decades. Males were given less importance in various sectors, particularly employment, as a result of the changed scenarios. When a university decides to give women 50 percent of seats or when the local parliament gives women a certain percentage of seats, it shows discrimination. In the past month, I had such real-world experience. I went to a multinational corporation for an interview for the position of junior executive. The fact that the company decided to hire more women than men for that position surprised me. While there were 15 women competing against 10 chairs of junior executives, there were only three male applicants competing for a single position.

Evidently, the experience demonstrates that women are more involved in activities outside of the home, and the roles they previously played have changed significantly, making men more vulnerable to sexual discrimination.
